damn- this is where Bogut would come in real handy....sounds like Thompson is gonna be okay though---- but after JR missing freaking 3 months with a thumb injury- its def. something to keep in mind.

Thompson had X-rays following the game that were negative and the MRI is precautionary. The Cavs have a key game against the Celtics on Wednesday night where first place in the Eastern Conference and a tiebreaker is on the line.

Thompson hasn't missed a game since Feb. 10, 2012 and his streak of 447 consecutive games played being the longest in the league. He's averaging 9.1 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.

He's got a ways to go to catch AC Green (1,192). Hopefully he can at least get close. I like guys who play every day. You know there have to have been plenty of games where he could really use a break, but he plays anyway.

Totally agree. As long as its not serious this is a good thing. He's really the only cav that gets a lot of minutes that puts in 100% effort every single game.

And with the cavs roster he is such a critical piece. Lets make sure he's healthy for the playoffs.
thats for sure---- no one can ever say Tristan isnt busting his ass out there thats for sure.

his real value is gonna show up in the playoffs soon.....Those offensive rebounsd are just such back-breakers. Esp. when the game turns into more of a slugfest and half court game in the playoffs.

So many times you would see a team put in tons of effort to get a stop- and then Tristan just rips the ball away in the middle of 3 guys. Those are winning plays right there. ---and then on the other end he will guard a 7'0' foot 280 lb center--- or switch onto a lightning fast 6'2" guard. It doesnt matter.

hes the Cavs glue and heart.

From February 10, 2012 to March 5, 2017. Over 5 years playing in every game. Thats pretty damn impressive in today's NBA. Hes a throwback in that regard.

RIP Tristan's streak- one tough MF'er.

Is it certain that he's out tonight? If so, bummer.

So you managed to add a great player and improve your bench? You're lucky you didn't find a way to lower your cap number too or the league office would be receiving a strongly worded letter from Dan Gilbert about how unfair that is. :heh:

It's almost unfair, the price of Durant was supposed to be a weaker bench. But West, McGee, and McCaw/Clark are better than Barbosa, Speights, and Ezeli.

You should just put a sleeping bag down now so you have a good spot for the parade.

lol Probably. Bet he's looking into booking his own flight.
lol, seriously......

oh well.....like i said- in the grand scheme of things- this will take pressure off of him in having to play every night and will get him some much needed rest.

as @gordontrue said- hes the one guy that really brings it every night---- and a lot of nights hes the guy guarding the Valunciunas', the Drummond's, the Gasol's, etc.... guys where he is giving up 3-4 inches and 50-60 lbs. ---- while at the same time switching and guarding the perimeter against guards and wings.

he could use a break if there ever was someone that could use a break.

He's been pretty bad lately for a guy who is bringing it every night.
Maybe you should spin it as he's not trying like the others?

that's pretty much how i feel about it. unless something like injuries happen again i feel like they're gonna curb stomp whoever they face in the finals...

5 games, so they can win it in front of their fans this time.

On the one hand.... I can't really blame everyone for being so convinced the Warriors are gonna roll to the ship.

But on the other hand... I mean, come on guys. Do you not feel the deja vu? Do you not remember saying all the same things a year ago?

The Celtics are disappointed.

By game time the James gang will prob join him as out.
They can they just accept 2nd and start playing less and less the rest of the season.
