YOU WILL NOT BEAT US IN MORAL VICTORIES, Bolts!!!!
There should be a statistic for "moral victories", so fans of bad teams have something to enjoy while waiting for the lottery.

The Lakers lost by 9 to the Spurs.....I'll take that. We looked good and Young proving all us NBA fans wrong. He's been balling.

Has anyone else read this story about Parsons?

I don't even know what to think of all this.....lol

There probably should be a definitive line between being an Owner and being Homies with the players.

i_c8_4a_90_gettyimages-490891650.png

Spotting the cab as he left with friends, Parsons saw an opportunity to get the last laugh. He hopped in with his boys, slipped the driver a $100 bill and told him to take off. The timing worked to perfection. Just as the cab started rolling, Cuban walked out. Parsons rolled down the window and stuck out his head. “Max or nothing, m—–f—–!” Parsons hollered at Cuban, cracking up his crew. Just one last joke in a night full of them. This is the behind-the-scenes tale of the NBA’s biggest bromance gone wrong.

How the NBA's biggest bromance blew up

"his crew" ?!?

That's racist. Lebron will be complaining soon.

The Lakers aren't a top tier basketball team yet.

But they have proven they're not in the bottom tier any more.

I agree......they're somewhere in the middle tier, which is nice and a welcome change after the last few seasons.

Does this mean Frye and Love are going steady?

Thats why I hope Rudy Gay joins the Cavs.
A lot of people would go off the deep end when the Cavs have a Gay Love promo.

it means they constitute the best combo of shooting big men in the league and when LeBron is on the floor with those guys the Cavs became practically unguardable. Another example of a very underated move by Griffin- (getting Frye), and how Dan Gilbert's wallet has allowed the Cavs to keep adding pieces despite being over the cap.

to make the playoffs in the EAst you had to win 44 games last year....41 in the West.

I wouldnt trade Kyrie- a bona fide all NBA player for Russell, INgram AND Randle.

Don't worry, I'm sure the Lakers wouldn't either.
Remind us again what Kyrie has ever done without James was far as winning or making others around him better.
And no, I'm not saying that individually he isn't very talented, but just re watch the Pacers game.
All the same players that thrive by the presence of James are mostly non factors without him.

Disagree.
Many, many players can hit a big % of wide open shots.
Any James team going back the last 7 years now proves that.
The key to all of their success is having James, not the other way around.

To be fair to Boston, they been without 2 very important players. There's very few teams that can survive and look good when you're without 2 starters for most of the season.....especially when one of those starters is your 2nd best player.

Really can't make any judgment on Boston right now until you see them with their full squad.

I'm not saying they might not be 2nd best, but I'll still take Toronto.
They won't be as good as the Celtics teams or Pacers teams that the Heat had to beat to get to the Finals though IMO.

Cavs ready for takeoff after Detroit drubbing

- Channing Frye scored zero points in the Cleveland Cavaliers104-81 win on Friday over the Detroit Pistons. It was unlike him, as he has had six games in double digits so far through the Cavs’ 10-2 start. He even had back-to-back games of hitting the 20-point plateau against two of the better teams in the Eastern Conference, the Charlotte Hornets and Toronto Raptors.

Yet he had a big hand, or rather a voice, in what was Cleveland’s most complete effort of the season on Friday.

“Channing asked for it before the game,” LeBron James said after the Cavs' victory. “He looked at me before the game and said we need to get a big win so we can get some rest. It’s a great point in the schedule for us right now; we don’t play ’til Wednesday. Channing asked for it, and we were able to execute our game plan. The coaching staff gave us a great one, and offensively and defensively, this is the best we’ve played all year as far as close to 48 minutes.”

Throw in a special performance from one of their special players -- Kyrie Irving joined John Stocktonas the only other player since the 1983-84 season to put up at least 25 points and 11 assists while shooting 73 percent or better, according to BasketballReference.com research --

KYrie was RIDICULOUS. 11/15 shooting. 25 points, 11 assists ZERO turnovers- and he didnt even play the 4th qtr. Neither did LeBron or Love.

Might have been the best and most cohesive game, with everyone on the same page that i have seen the Cavs play in the regular season. They finally have had time to gel as a team, to learn everyone's tendencies, to have a coach they like with systems that include everyone (especially Love who was SEVERELY underutilized in Blatt's system). Everyone is playing unselfish ball too. As the first paragraph of the article says- Frye was kicking ass coming into the game- and then scored zero points tonight- thats just how it is with this team- no one is making sure "they get theirs".

Again, nobody but cavs fans give a shit about an comp/paste ESPN article

well yah- no shit. When you have undisputedly one of the 5 best players of all time with court vision that has not been rivale since Magic Johnson that helps---- but being able to put shooters like Frye and Love around LeBron- 2 big men shooters unlike anything else he has ever played with in his entire career- you see spacing that you look at and just cant even believe your eyes.

Kyrie just dominated to. 11 assists and 0 turnovers was pretty cool for him tonight. One sequence he had an amazing bounce pass into the key for LeBron, had a devastating spin move that reminded me of Kobe's unparalleed footwork, and then got love an easy layup with a perfectly thrown lob-entry pass when the defense was fronting Love. just crazy.

LEBron has ALWAYS led the teams he has played on in points and free throws- metrics that show the effort and physicality you have to have----- this year? Kyrie is leading hte team in points, and Love in free throws (another sign how they are using Love much better)- i have to believe that is the EXACT type of thing Lebron foresaw when he got out of Miami and decided his better option was to come back to Cleveland.

Kyrie IRving was 22 years and was on a Cleveland team that was obviously tanking his first years in the league.

Right now- no one could POSSIBLY say Kyrie Irving is not a top 20 player without getting laughed at. You could arguably have him in your top 10. At 24, multi-time all star, one of the clutchest players in the entire game, an All NBA player last year- he is exactly what you dream of when you draft a POTENTIALLY great player in the lottery. It is highly unlikely any of those 3 guys ever becomes near as good as Kyrie--- i am not going to say it is outright impossible- but when you have a guy who is a known commodity- who is 24 years old and already a consensus one of the best players out there- a guy who has swished the Game Winning shot of Game 7 of the Finals right in the eye of the 2 time reigning MVP- you dont give that guy up for ANYTHING. As i said- thats what you DREAM your lottery picks turn into.

Whatever Kyrie is ranked, to say he alone is a better commodity then the 3 young Lakers is insane.
Put the 3 young Lakers with James vs what the Cavs have and they're still winning the East.

Career wise Kyrie has been a great scorer.
One game of high assists is just that. One game.

i read this and again- its hard for me to believe that before the end of the season JR Smith- will likely be top 10 all time in 3 pointers made!....and Phil Jackson gave the Cavs Shumpert AND Smith for basically nothing. Thanks Phil!

With three 3-pointers tonight, J.R. Smith moved past Dirk Nowitzki for 15th on the all-time made 3s list with 1,706. "I guess if you stick around long enough and make enough shots, you pass somebody," the 13-year veteran said after the Cavs' 104-81 win over Detroit. Smith said he didn't know he was in range of Nowitzki coming into the night but added, "I guess I got to check to see who is up next." We got you covered, J.R.: Dale Ellis (14th with 1719), Peja Stojakovic (13th with 1760), Rashard Lewis (12th with 1787), Kobe Bryant (11th with 1827), Chauncey Billups (10th with 1830). Smith has a very realistic chance to reach the top 10 this season.
