just out of curiosity- does anyone out there think that LeBron made a mistake by not playing last night?

i dont- i am all for the maintenance and extending his career-- just interested if anyone else out there thinks otherwise.

I don't see why you sit him against a Division foe, but I guess it speaks to the Cavs confidence that this regular season stuff is just a formality.

Its tough.

Tim Duncan was an All Nba player at age 37.

I think LeBron can do that to. The fact that LeBron has never had a major injury, or surgery certainly helps him as well. He is a physical freak - but the Cavs are looking at the long term picture here.

Yea he should sit some this season, I just thought it was an odd choice of game.

Thats the issue I see, why not a western conference team. Weird that is was a division team.

i think it comes down to that it they had scheduled 5 games from Friday to Friday- and htis game was in between Toronto and Detroit- and Friday night in Cleveland against Detroit after an off-day --- lebron is gonna play in that game no matter waht. the Pacers game just made the most sense when you look at the schedule- 2nd night of a back to back on the road in the middle of a streak of 5 games from friday to friday.

should be well rested and ready to go for tonights game. :)

It doesn't make a whole lot of sense. But Toronto did play them tough the night before, so maybe he really needed it. Again, I think it also speaks to Cleveland's confidence that giving up a full game in the division doesn't really matter a whole lot to them. They probably also thought they had a decent shot at winning too, especially since the Pacers haven't exactly been setting the league on fire.

some interesting comments from Love after the game:

Even though the Cavs fell to 4-16 in games played without LeBron James since James returned to Cleveland in 2014, Kevin Love said Wednesday's loss to IND was different. "I think we definitely had a better effort than we've had in the past," Love said. "In Year 1 of us playing together, we didn't really know how to do that. We didn't know what that meant ... We really didn't know how to play, and other times we didn't play hard enough ... I thought we just did a really good job tonight of continuing to fight back. They kind of kept their lead, there were times you could tell we were on a back-to-back. But we liked our effort, we had our chances and if we execute a little bit better we might win that game."

I don't know if those comments would give me a warm fuzzy or not. I'm in the camp that feels the Cavs without LeBron are a limp in to the playoffs at best. It sounds like they gave it a solid effort and still lost.

Dwyane Wade's presence is cleaning up a once toxic locker room

i didnt think a whole much about the bulls team before the season started- but you have to admit they are playing some solid ball. An interesting article how Dwade has helped improve the locker room which used to be a disaster....

“I don’t come in and use that pedigree all the time and say, ‘Hey, listen, I got three championships. Listen to me.’ It’s more about, ‘Hey, when I make a mistake, I want them to call me out on my mistakes.’ It’s about pulling aside, the way you talk to a guy.

“Jimmy’s leadership is Jimmy’s leadership. And my leadership is mine. I think ours co-exist and works together. They see me and Jimmy together more than anyone. I think they understand if two of our leaders are on the same page, then we’re good.’’

They’re more than good.

They’re Batman and Robin. Although Butler swore after the shootaround, “I’m the Black Panther.’’
Either way, their off-the-court relationship has grown quicker than anyone could have anticipated.
Wade is constantly hosting team events, including a movie night Wednesday in Utah, as well as taking Butler, and several other teammates, to his Miami mansion last week when they played the Heat.

It not only is a credit to Wade in understanding team building, but once again shines a light on just how dysfunctional the last few seasons have been with the Bulls.

Rose was as distant a teammate as there was on the roster, while most of the locker room was a series of small clicks.

Wade has played big brother to Butler, mentor to the young players, and a voice that the coaching staff can trust.

“That’s just who I am,’’ Wade said of walking that line. “That’s how I’ve been successful in my career. I’ve been a part of five Finals in Miami. It doesn’t happen by mistake that players want to play with you. I know as a teammate what I bring to my guys off the court. And I know how important that is.

“For me, it’s just coming in and putting my leadership and my stamp on this organization knowing that I can help. I wouldn’t have come here if I didn’t think I could help this organization and help Jimmy. This organization to me is important. It’s my childhood’s favorite organization. I knew I could help from what I’ve learned in this league. I have a lot of knowledge on the court I can help with them. And then I’m into a lot of [stuff] off the court that I can get them involved in and we can do together too. It’s just sharing it all with them.’’

What about 2 1st rd picks, Ian Clark and Kevon Looney

Clark and Looney wouldn't provide much value to the 76ers. And the 1st round picks would be nice . . . but they're going to be very late first round picks. I'd have to think that the 76ers could find better value elsewhere.

And here I thought that was gonna be a forever type thing.

If this is true, my first instinct is to call him weak minded.

But, that would probably rub my ego wrong too.

Plus, she's got way to much athlete, rapper mileage.

Can't be much tread left on that tire.

It does sound weak minded. But I doubt he lerved her either. And if your hotdog/hallway theory is correct, then it definitely wouldn't be worth it.

Nobody going to mention the Beasley double double?

This has to suck....lol

A month later, he was dealt to the Bucks, who were in search of scoring in the wake of the hamstring injury to guard Khris Middleton. “I literally just bought a house,” the 6-foot-9 forward said of the comfort of establishing roots in Houston after a strong finish to last season. “Literally the day before I got traded, I just got my Wi-Fi, my cable set up. And you know how important that is.”
