Our Mets are definitely the surrogates for the Giants. They even wear orange like us.

For good reason. Do you remember the NY Giants logo they used in the mid/late 1950s (MLB Giants)?

Good find. It's too bad they're tainted by blue.

I read that the original owner of the Mets was thinking of going with a pink and black color scheme. Boy that would've been weird, but at least it wouldn't have been tainted by Dodger blue while still retaining a Giants color.

Cards v dogs: Cards
Cubs v Mets: Mets
Cards v Mets: Cards

Like I mentioned earlier, I respect the Cards, and I like that it has been only us and them for the last 5 years. I also like the story of the Cubs, so I dont want that story to end.

Like I mentioned earlier, I respect the Cards, and I like that it has been only us and them for the last 5 years. I also like the story of the Cubs, so I dont want that story to end.

Agree with all but the bolded. I would go Cubs over Mets. And with the Cubs just clinching it, that's who I will root for in the NL. While I'm happy for the Cubs, I feel sort of bad for the Cardinals. They are too good of a team to get booted this early.
