That's one "unwritten rule" that annoys the piss out of me. I don't care if the Indians are up a dozen runs - I don't want them to stop trying to score runs unless their opponent agrees to do the same.

Especially when playing an opponent against which no lead is safe, at least in recent memory.

I am a strong proponent of if you don't want the other team to run the score up, stop them.
