I wouldn't touch DGB with a 100 ft pole. I just don't have any faith that we would be able to squeeze talent out of him that wouldn't result in a Gorden/Blackmon scenario.

I agree with junkie. There is a deep receiving class and grabbing Parker at 10 is dumb. There are teams that may trade up for him but our biggest problem is in the trench.

Yea SJ76 you can say shitfest and be your ole self. I really am intrigued by this Havenstein, OT from Wisconsin. He is a damn big dude and we should take him the third or fourth. I think we should trade down and pick-up Peat, Tomlinson, or Cann in the late first. If not, take that RB Gordon from Wisconsin in the first and then get his teammate Havenstein in the 3rd or 4th. Just like they did with Austin and Stedman from WV.

It's looking like Cann won't go until mid 2nd or early third now.

Then Tomlinson is available or Peat in the first if they trade down. Otherwise, if they stay at 10, take either Gurley or Gordon at RB. I hope they don't trade up for anybody at this juncture. It looks like the Browns are entering into a major play to trade to the second spot in the first to take MM by offering the Titans Cleveland's two first rounders. Is the play that Cleveland selects MM and then ships him to the Eagles for Sammie and a boatload of picks or do they blow-off Kelly and Sammie and keep MM all to themselves?

If Cleveland gives up that much for MM, I think they're keeping him. Of course, what do they do with Manziel? Situations like this are why the Browns have been awful for years. Why not stand pat at 12 and 19 to surround Manziel with some serious talent? I can't see MM making them an instant contender next season, he's not Andrew Luck, so why not give Manziel a real shot?

Ya know LTRF, the Browns may just go with their present QB, groom MM for a year or two, and cut ties with Manziel altogether. I think Manziel maybe the new Tebow as far is football is concerned and he'll be on the outside looking in. We shall see if the Titans take the deal or not and what the Browns do with Manziel if they deal goes through.

But what if Manziel develops into a solid QB during that time? Another team isn't necessarily going to give up 1st round value for either guy if they know the Browns have to give one of them up. Its a dangerous situation they're setting themselves up for, especially since they have so many other pressing needs. Is MM that good of a prospect that its worth mortgaging their future when they just took a QB in last years first round? Remember, Manziel was projected by some to be a top 5 pick of the draft last season.
I certainly see what you're saying, but as much as I like MM as a prospect, I personally think its a big mistake for the Browns to make that deal.

Mike Mayock's draft tonight on the NFL network had some interesting turns:

Rams - select OT Ereck Flowers from Miami at pick #10

Patriots - Randy Gregory falls all the way to the last first round pick

La'el Collins and Shane Ray dropped out of round one!

I seem to see Flowers projected all over the first round which gets me a bit nervous about him. I certainly don't see a reason to take him at 10 when we could probably get someone as good at OG or RT between 15-20. Heck, who says Flowers wouldn't still be there if we traded back?

I am not as pumped for this draft as I was last years.

I lost all interest when he picked Flowers right after he said they would want to trade down. It's a mock, if you think they're going to trade down, do it. I'm not buying Waynes in the top 10 either.

It seems people often sculpt these mocks around a few picks they want to see happen, like Parker reuniting with his QB as a Viking, or Belichick lucking into a top 10 talent at 32.

Belichick gets way too much credit as a drafter. His claim to fame is Brady as a 6th rounder, but he basically blew all of the other picks in that draft.

Flowers has big upside like Robinson last year and we know the Rams like that. The nice thing about him he can play OT or guard and is a mauler in the run game.

Here are the O-line players comparisons.

2015 NFL Draft Tracker NFL.com

Flowers > Peat IMO

Why? Flowers is huge, had the best performance at the combine on bench press at 37 and he has a mean streak. Had 4 holding penalties in 2 years. Flowers needs work on pass protection, but he has really good feet so that is coachable.

But i still don't think either are great at this point. Which is why I like Havenstein in the 3rd/4th round.

I would be intrigued though and not upset if we took Flowers. And then took Duke Johnson, RB Miami if he slips to the 3rd.

A rumor that seems to be floating about is that the Dolphins covet Gurley and Parker and would be a logical trade down spot for the Rams if the Rams are strictly looking for oline.

This is why I don't want Parker, the #3 WR at #10 overall.. 2015 NFL Draft Tracker NFL.com

After the first 2, it drops off and there are a few WRs I'd look at later if they fell to me. No reason to reach and Parker has gotten a lot of hype since the combine. He wasn't crazy good in the college game like White or Cooper either. I think Sammie Coates, Jaylen Strong, DGB are all as good as Parker.

Yeah I seen that. If we could steal a second rd pick from them and still get Flowers at 14 that would be Great! Draft chart says 3rd Rd pick but they should pay more moving into the top 10. Maybe their 3rd & 4th.

Id almost guarantee that 2 out of the 3 WRs you just named will bust hard. All 3 are projects.

Could be, but you don't know if Parker will bust either. Parker didn't blow anyone away at the combine and to take him at #10. He's in that pool of talent that could bust. Even more reason not to take him. Hell throw in the kid from Central FL that actual did blow away the combine, especially in the 40. He's gotten a bunch of hype too. So WRs out there, but only 1 or 2 sure things IMO.

If it's me, I'm not drafting a WR. I think Quick comes back, Britt has a better year and we have the WV boys as well. I'm stacking the O-line and looking for a value pick at RB or CB in the 1st 3 rounds.
