Mitchell Hanson CF headed to Stanford but if picked early enough might sign. A future player.

Doak Dozier CF nice ballplayer..a hustle type player. Good judgement. Can play all three OF positions.Nice swing from the left side. He will make it to the Bigs some day.

So the Giants pick an injured lefty pitcher who pitches well, but hurt his elbow and his shoulder this season. Otherwise he is a mid first round pick.

Off the top of my head, I figure Shaw has to be our top 1B prospect now. Duvall is still playing 3B, but he just doesn't have the glove. Hard to rate him as a prospect, though, when he just screams "AAAA player". Oropesa is having a bit of a bounce back year, but I think his prospect ship has sailed. Ragira started very badly this year, but has come back a bit. Not sure he has much of a future, though. AnVil is still with Richmond, but I think he is just playing out the contract at this point. He is not getting much playing time (currently on the DL - has not played since May 17).

Giants get Andrew Suarez LHP Miami

Could be a good score. But has had arm problems. Health concerns.

Giants blew it not taking Demi ! Wow that kid is going to dominate.

Suarez is a risky pick. But IF IF IF he avoids injuries, he could be a mid-rotation type. And he is a lefty.

Not a huge fan of this pick, but like I always say, I trust Tidrow and company to have better judgement than I.

I'm in with both picks. Here what I like about Bickford:

In 86IP he had 166 Ks, 21 BBs. 1.45 ERA.

He has a TON of movement on his fastball. The secondary stuff isn't there yet, but this fastball is legit. Delivery looks pretty clean, repeatable.

Here's a game when he was in High School. 7IP, 18Ks, 1H.

Here a write up about him:

Giants passed on a All star OF for years to come. What's new. Hey what ever happened to that George Foster dude?

His 3/4 to side arm delivery kinda scares me, but I am very ignorant when it comes to mechanics.

Dodgers get three nice pitching prospects already. Wow they just keep getting more and more arms.

Think Randy Johnson, a model of optimal mechanics.
