Dozier hasn't done anything since the AS break. I'm less concerned about Plouffe, than I am about the spot that Mauer takes up. If Mauer didn't occupy a "power" position, Plouffe's DPs wouldn't even be a concern.

Dozier is what he is. He's got streaky power. Just simply not a good hitter.

You cannot blame anything regarding Plouffe on Mauer. The guy is a DP machine because he's slower than most 55 year olds and because he's simply not a good hitter. His career average is .240 and Mauers OBP is why he hits into DPs? Lucky he's hitting way over his head with RISP or he'd be really useless. If Trevor Plouffe is the 4/5 hitter in your lineup you are in trouble.

Getting rid of Plouffe is going to take care of about 4 problems at once.
