Nice. Wonder if they were hoping he'd be there or surprises he was there. He's first round talent. Will be interesting to see how they allocate their budget. Never a bad idea to stock up on starting pitching prospects with high ceilings.

Does he have the same back problem (possible) Harrison has, Romeo?

Well, I say that. I don't necessarily have enough information to go on. Harry's diagnosis was spondylolysthesis of L5 on S1 I believe, which means one or more vertebrae actually subluxed either forward or backwards on top of another, thus causing major nerve compression.

Matuella's diagnosis as I u d'état and is spondylolysis. It is a congenital defect that is present in a small portion of the population. If it is not managed correctly, it can lead to what Harry had. However, it is manageable, and I'm assuming the Rangers feel confident they can do so. My guess is it's in its very early stages, so maintaining LE/core strength, flexibility, and good mechanics will be key.

It looks like there are still 5 guys from Baseball America's top 50 ranked players available.

One of a dozen Georgia high school prospects who could factor into the top three rounds in June, Smith has the potential to develop average or better tools across the board. He does draw some mixed reviews, as some scouts question his bat and don't believe he has a carrying tool. Smith stands out most with his bat speed and left-handed power potential. He gets overly aggressive at the plate, leading to concerns about his ability to make enough contact to maximize his pop. A Georgia recruit, Smith shows some speed and instincts on the bases but might lose a step as he fills out. Currently a center fielder, he figures to move to an outfield corner and has average arm strength.

Now that's an autocorrection if I've ever seen one.
