DOC RIVERS better not get too comfortable

Doc the coach is alright, probably a bit over-rated...but he is okay
Doc the GM has been a failure though in building a roster that works for a true contender.

They have enough talent to beat anyone in the 1st or 2nd round maybe......
But, the team is just not going to win a title anytime soon.

Randle is essentially a rookie.

So, it will be his turn to victimize guys soon.

One thing I like about Randle is that he has some attitude to him and getting schooled like that is likely to piss him off and make him work harder. At least that's how he has responded so far when challenged.

Yep, the Clippers are in the worst possible position to win a title, imo. They are talented enough to beat anyone on any given night, good enough to advance a round or 2 in the playoffs, but not good enough to make the playoffs and not bad enough to get help through the draft. They also don't have the cap space to improve via FA either.

The only way they can really improve is via trade. It'll be interesting to see what happens if they go that route and see who they are willing to part with.

Clips now 0-4 vs the top 4 teams in the west. Chris Paul is avg 29.5 PPG and 9.2 APG in those 4 games. In other words the supporting cast is at fault

How was he playing 1 on 5? Durant made a great play. CP3 was able to get space from his defender and was going to have a clean jump shot to win the game

I'm not talking about only that game in particular or that play. But we commonly see CP trying to take over games late in the 4th and still lose.

Good game between the Kings and Pacers, Kings were up 15 at halftime and then blew that lead almost instantly. Back and forth in the 4th quarter, Paul George misses a shot to tie it at the buzzer and the Kings win 108-106. They finish the road trip 2-2, with their two wins coming against teams that are combined 34-24 and their two losses coming against teams that are combined 24-31....idk what to think.

Steve Kerr ran practices for the Warriors the last few days, and low and behold they hold the Jazz to 85 points on 41% shooting. That is not a coincidence.

Luke has done a fine job managing the squad and getting them prepared for games. Kerr looks like he's making strides for a return and is going to be paramount to the teams post-season success.

The Warriors mentioned that they focused solely on defense the last few days because they were not playing up to the standard they set last year. It's crazy to think that a team that is 27-1 is capable of getting better.
