Maybe I'm confused - if Miami and Boston are 4-5, and Atlanta loses to Charlotte in a 3-6, wouldn't Cleveland get Charlotte and Toronto get Miami/Boston?

No NBA doesn't reseed like that. The bracket is locked in from the beginning. CLE gets 4/5 winner. TOR gets 3/6 winner. (assuming CLE holds onto the #1)

Nope basketball doesn't work like football which is dumb. Once you're in that 4/5 slot you would face Cleveland in round 2 even if the 6 seed wins

One important note on the Cavs record without LeBron.... think about when LeBron usually sits out... its in Back to back games on the road.

Since the Mozgov/JR trade last season... The Cavs are 3 - 6 without LeBron.

5 of those 6 losses were road games on the end of a back to back.

What type of record do you guys think most teams would have in games without their best player on the road in a back to back?

You'd think a team that spends $109m on player salaries alone would be talented enough to win even with their top THREE players out. That is unless you had an owner who spent $15m a year on a below-than-average player

I would never think that.

youd think a team that has the highest paid player in the NBA wouldnt be absolute garbage and wallowing in historical ineptitude- i mean- if your logic is to be followed-

please-- that is WAY to much logic for this site....you need to end this with some kind of personal insult and give some general BS that has nothing to do with your post - like - well it doesnt matter anyway because Cleveland hasnt won a title in X years- because thats REALLY relevant to this post...lol......cmon man....you should know better by now!

Oh please. You're trying to justify thompsons $82m contract by mentioning Kobe? Not a single lakers fan on this board would say that contract was a good move, yet a sad cavs homer like yourself keeps praising Gilbert for the rediculous contracts he gave out last summer, especially Thompson and Shumpert.

Are you seriously saying if something were to happen to lebron that the Cavs have a good future or are you finally man enough to admit your team would be in deep shit? I already know the answer to that btw.

my bad. Let's see here...

Cleveland will not win the title. They have less than a zero percent chance. If you aren't first you're last. So Cavs are basically in last place right now. Just like always.

Better? :noidea:

I guess...

my daughter goes through this kind of crabbiness when she starts her cycle. maybe I should have him talk to her about getting through this...

No point. You couldn't stuff anything more in that tight hole of his if you had a shoe horn.

'sides, you left out the personal attacks...

FTR, I don't think anyone here said Cleveland has NO chance. but let's face it, going against either San Antonio OR Golden State is simply gonna be a tough row to hoe...

 @you crying about personal insults. Maybe you should go cry to @Mecca about people being mean to you again.

And the Cavs haven't won a title in X years. They haven't won a title in ANY years.

Something tells me that if the Cavs had won a single title, let's say 30 years ago, he still wouldn't shut the fuck up about it now.

Ever notice how folks who say past titles don't matter are usually fans of teams that have never won one?
