Other games... there's been too much of Kyrie, LeBron, & some JR just pulling up off the dribble and shooting contested 3's in iso ball. That's when it doesn't go as well.

I obviously haven't watched the Cavs as much as you have. But it seems to me that they resort to iso ball more when they are playing better teams. Do you see that as a season long trend? Or is it more coincidental to when I've watched them?

id agree with that under Blatt...

all though on the same token--- against teams that dont take as seriously you saw a lot of reverting into the ISO ball and not working as hard on offense.

Once Lue got them in shape to run his system and had a little time with them- you can plainly see watching the games how much better the ball moves on a consistent basis. In my mind- that was always going to be the biggest challenge putting 3 All Star alpha dogs used to being the focal point of their own offense together....it took a coaching change and almost 2 regular seasons- but it looks like they are finally really getting it.

yup. best center in the league comes off the bench for the 5 seed in the East. makes sense. lol. unreal. whats the excuse gonna be when he implodes next month?

No excuse.
If he does, he's a moron.

What's your excuse going to be once the Cavs are eliminated?

Only way they get anything is 16 playoffs wins.

except when you are a shooting guard that NEVER EVER shoots 3's because you are horrible at them.

Most people call that, playing within yourself and not doing things that hurt the team.

It's considered a good thing.

exactly- im not claiming Thompson is the most dominant center in the NBA- and better than Andre Drummond though

That's because he's not even better than Whiteside, so he doesn't make it into the discussion.

well- unless of course your job description is SHOOTING GUARD. lol....yah if he was a PF i can understand...in todays league being a shooting guard- that cant shoot the 3- obviously limits your team.

i am not basketball expert--- but - and correct me if i a m wrong-- typically- the SHOOTING GUARD- should be on of your better shooters- not your worst. LOL.

its one of the reasons why the HEat are consistently one of the very worst outside shooting teams in the league---- they really play a brand of throw back basketball- with a conventional center with Whiteside- with that slow methodical pace- with the lack of 3 pt shooting- its just so slow and boring and antiquated.

actually have done some research on California LLC's - but the rules there are pretty biased against business--- better to file in Delaware and be a foreign LLC.

No doubt. The Peoples Republic of California is about as business unfriendly as it gets. It's part of the reason the state is upside down financially. If my wife's medical needs weren't already set up here and her Mom didn't live 5 minutes away, we'd be out of here already.

Hmmm... I haven't particularly noticed that. If anything I'm inclined to think the opposite... but I haven't paid enough attention to be confident on that.

Problem is they haven't had many games against what you'd call "top teams". Warriors, Spurs, Thunder, Clippers, Toronto.

Cavs have only played 3 games against those teams since Lue came in... going 2 - 1 (wins vs SAS, @LAC, loss @ TOR). I thought they did a good job of avoiding ISO in all of those games... except in the Toronto game down the stretch.

That might be what you're seeing. When they get in close games... at the end... they tend to get iso heavy. Not necessarily a bad thing come playoff time (imo)... when you want to control and dictate the possessions at the end... as long as they don't go to it too soon... and as long as those ISO possessions are still ending in decent shots (aka... not a LeBron fadeaway over a double team from 22 feet).

aka "the Stankly Leg" offense.

Depends on what you mean by worst. A field goal percentage of 45%+ is actually about right for the better shooting guards. They are always going to have worse field goal percentages than Centers and Power Forwards because many, if not most of their shots are from outside the paint.

The fact that Wade is shooting 45% in his worst year, says a lot about how efficient he has been throughout his career. He knows his game and stays away from the thing he knows will hurt the team.

Honestly, as great as Kobe has been, I wish that he would have done a bit more of that during his career. I don't know if it would have meant any more titles for the Lakers, but it would have saved me a lot of yelling "Stop fucking shooting Kobe" at my tv.

Probably just coincidental then. I tend to channel surf between different sporting events too (my wife says I have "sports ADD"), so a lot of what I've seen is at the end of games when it would make sense that they would go with a little more iso trying to keep the ball in the hands of their best players. So, I may have missed some of the better ball movement earlier in games.

Finally. The truth comes out.

there is no way Whiteside could ever be a #1 because of his attitude and things like this...MAYBE he could be a #2 with the right babyistters.

Its why I just could NEVER put him over the guys who put up the stats AND are great teammates and leaders.

like I said last night, you put one HELLUVA lotta energy putting this guy down...and NO ONE seems to be buying...

troll much...?

Because players are so happy when they get benched. I've seen Tony Parker and Tim Duncan pout when Pop benched them as well. This is much adu about nothing. Spo got his point across

Well, bk. They're terrible leaders and could never be counted upon according to Wiggy's logic. Boy, the Spurs should wish they have a lineup that the Cavs had. I mean really, what have Duncan and Parker accomplished in their career? Amrite? Guys.....anyone?

That boy shook. He's like Skip Bayless. Once he has an opinion of a player, he can't think objectively and change his stance. Wherever Whiteside goes, whether he stays in Miami or not, he'll root against him....unless he somehow found his way on the Cavs. If the latter scenario presented itself, he'd probably get Whiteside's autograph and tattoo it on his ass.
