I just read that Ebron didn't play high school football at all. That's pretty wild. If he's only been playing organized ball for 3 or 4 years he's got a lot of upside left in him...

DT could possibly be Princeton's Caraun Reid if he lasts that long.. Highly doubt it/ Was compared to Sammie Lee Hill or South Carolina's Kelcey Quarles

I don't think he lasts that long, but I'd be stoked if we got him with either of those picks. I'd honestly be just fine with grabbing him in the 3rd round. Lots of upside with his size/speed combo. Versatile guy that Austin could deploy at DE or OLB...

Can Tuitt play inside? Or is he strictly a 3-4 DE?

Do you guys think when they were debating that pick that someone in the war room said "There's nothing Tuitt, we pick the kid from ND"?

better. Talent and need. Not sure about giving up a fourth to move up 5 spots, though. There were 4 other good players (Nix, Ealy, Tuitt, Jernigan) and they could have waited.

Essentially gave up a 7th. They got their guy. More important. Van Noy will impact next year. The 4th rounder might of just been a depth player no diff than the 5th in return.

Just curious, I remember when Cyrus Kouandjio was considered a top 15 or 20 pick before the college season.. Anyone think he could easily be a bust like me? He looked horrible on game film.. Especially against Oklahoma..

I feel that way too... 3rd round cuz SF or sea might jump on him. 2 see him lasting until pick #133 is exteeeemely doubtful

Very early in the draft process some had him as the top Tackle ahead of Matthews

Biggest bust potential next to Kelvin Benjamin, IMO

He was offered a scholarship to UNC before he played any high school football. I must have read a similar article. His grandfather passed away when Ebron was 10 -- he shut down and gave up everything, including football. He didn't play for 3 years and his mom moved the family to NC and she made him go to football camp. After watching him run routes and catch balls in the rain -- UNC moved him to TE and by the end of camp they offered him a scholarship before he had even played a snap in high school. He did actually play football in high school. Still a really cool story.

The best part of the story -- The UNC's coach (Butch Davis, I believe) told him at the end of camp they were offering him a scholarship and Ebron responded, "Thanks". He didn't even know what a scholarship was and still didn't know until he told his high school coach about it and he let him know it meant he got to go to school for free and play football.

He has horrible feet, kick-slide is inconsistent, mirrors DE's is suspect, can't stop a speed rusher. Go back look at what Auburn and Oklahoma did to this kid.. Hell, even HC Saban stated last August, when asked by a reporter regarding him leaving the program in 2014, Saban stated, "He needs to stay in school for another year, he's not close to being ready for the NFL." Saban has never been that degrading to one of his players. I lived in Bama for 13 years til this past summer.
