Imo, we should more or less consider Ebron as our 3rd WR. That's how he'll be used- he's a giant slot receiver. And if you consider his measurables as such we just picked up a 6'4", 245 lb WR who ran a 4.5 40 time.

He's a more impressive specimen at WR than at TE and he'll take the vast majority of his snaps split out, not in the slot. Why not just call a spade a spade?

This is exactly why the Mike Evans talk didn't make sense. Ebron is bigger and just as fast. Evans looks like a fat kid compared to Ebron.

That's an excellent point Tpaul.. I never looked at it that way.. but damn, those drops I watched in college keep haunting me. It's very difficult to break those habits when the drop % is that high and you're clear of any DB by 5 yards. if it was tight coverage, illegal contact (hand on hip, shoulder, jersey grab) I'd give him a pass.

Unless Ebron puts up stats like Rob Gronkowski or Jimmy Graham, he isn't worthy of a top 10 pick.

As long as he contibutes to winning for the Lions I will accept it. I have wait and see if he puts up those stats in 2015 and 2016 before I judge. The draft is not over yet. Might get 2 starters tomorrow who the fuck knows. I will fall asleep like a baby in about 2 hours... you might need a sedative and some Tums.

The only TE that ran a 4.5 at the combine is A.C. Leonard from Tennessee State. Ebron ran a 4.6.
