McDavid is the youngest player in the tourney (just turned 16 in Jan), and ended up 3 points clear of 2nd place for the tournament scoring title.

The only problem for the 2015 season is all the tanking that will take place 3/4 through the season. It could be bad.

I watched this game this morning and not only is McDavid obviously talented, he's also a team player. With about 6 minutes left in the 3rd period, he was alone at center ice facing two USA defenders. He could have tried to force the issue, but instead make the smart play by dumping the puck in to complete a line change. Great maturity for a 16 year old kid.

This kid is the real deal. He played on a team in complete rebuild mode & finished the season in the top 20 of the OHL in Scoring. Connor McDavid is legit.

Then all the Flames would need is Johansson from Columbus. I doubt either player goes anywhere.

A lot of Isles fans think letting Nino play for Switzerland instead of being named to the playoff roster is a sign that he's going to be traded. Those people are CLUELESS. This is an opportunity for Nino to play against talented competition on a big stage. None of the other prospects in the Isles organization were given the opportunity. It's much better to play & improve your game than sit & watch from the pressbox.

I think the Flames will be in the running for another top-5 pick again next season while the Isles will likely be a playoff team. Ergo, I like the Flames chances.
