Well boys good news and bad news. Good news is that Gagne is already paying dividends. We dominated almost the entire game. Now the bad news. Gust went out with a lower body injury. Hopefully it's not too bad. And expect Harry Z to be suspended for his knee on knee at the end of the game. He just needs to settle down a bit. I love the energy from the 4th line but now we will be very shorthanded.

He made some great, great saves. And he let in a shot that really shouldn't go in. Was a headscratcher today - stop all the golden opportunities and let in what's probably the softest goal he's let in so far this year. I was overall less happy with him and more annoyed at the defense for giving away all those chances.

Teams that can catch us: Winnipeg, NY Rangers, Tampa, Florida, Washington. We're still essentially in tenth place in points per game, but on the plus side we are also starting to reel in the Devils and Pens, who have both lost a few in a row. We play both twice in the next eight games, so who knows? We might even have a shot at the division.

And I look at it like this: If we don't give up twenty great chances, maybe he's got enough luck in the tank to stop that one.

I agree with you that Bryz played very well today, minus the one softie. But we can't rely on him standing on his head - we need to play better in front of him.

And I agree with that, too. But the way you are putting it, the defense is the problem. As long as it is not Bryzgalov...

Bryz has been good all year.

I think the key is to play in the other teams zone as often as possible. This is what has been happening the last few games.

My only issue with Bryz is that he is giving up too many juicy rebounds. Some are not his fault, but today he did give up too many that he had no business giving up. Anyway it's a win and that's all that matters.

He left his feet early and while it wasn't the initial point of contact he caught Lundin in the head. He absolutely should be suspended. Whether or not he will, well, I was told three games from the most accurate source out there.
