Cleveland had to do that trade. Do you know how bad it would have looked if they had a chance to trade up, didn't, and watched Tampa take Richardson at #3. It's better to be safe than sorry when you are convinced you have a superstar talent.

The Bucs would have had to give up more as they had no 4th round pick and were further down by a spot. The Bucs were NOT going to trade up. It makes Zero Sense. Especially for a RB. Maybe if it was a Patrick Willis type LB but not a RB.
