2010 v 2012

I do not remember if the national media focused on the giants In the same vein as Boston or Chicago when they broke their streaks. I was so focused on this site and other giants-centric sites.

In the grand scheme of things, I think 2012 will be viewed as a more worthy championship team, but they will always be viewed as a single team even though there were only 2 position players on both teams (Posey, .5 Huff and .5 Panda).

Since we follow the team everyday, the change was obvious to us but nationally, I don't think most people know the Giants beyond the faces of the franchise: Posey, Timmy, Brian Wilson, Sabean, Bochy, Matt Cain and maybe Romo.

I'd bet most people would attribute the Giants rings to a lucky hot streak by Cody Ross and Scutaro and of course, the other teams all collectively chocking.

They will mark the beginning of the 20 year run of 17 championships. It is truly going to be historic, not because of the number of championships won, but because they will be picked to lose every game of every series by every national announcer.

Let the run begin!
I want them to win so much I might even get sick and tired of how great the Giants are (which could happen after 15th or so consecutive world championship)
Let them rename the trophy, the Bochy.
