I've seen several times where a player would get as close as Manu got and the ref will tell the player to back off. Just like you guys never seen a player do that on an inbounds play, I never seen a defender allowed to get so close the player inbounding the ball either. The refs totally screwed that up both ways

Yeah, I think I do remember instances where a ref would step in and tell the defender to back up.

There's definitely an argument to be made that Ginobli was too close, however there's also an argument that a foul should of been called. However, I don't think the Spurs got robbed. The Spurs got the ball, had a chance to call a t.o, and got a good look from Patty Mills.

From nba rules...

The throw-in starts when the ball is at the disposal of a player entitled to the throw-in. Until the passed ball has crossed the plane of the boundary, no player shall have any part of his person over the boundary line

Yeah no way was that legal. If that was the case, coaches would have their guys defending the inbound pass on the final possession the same exact way. No way in hell can you get so close to the guy inbounding the ball.

Doesn't matter. Spurs had the chance to win and didn't. Should have made a better shot selection at the end.

Yeah, but they could've ran a play, if the refs called the foul.

I agree with this. Had they called a foul, Pop would've called a timeout giving OKC a chance to set their defense. San Antonio got the ball with like 10 seconds left. They could've called a timeout but didn't given that OKC wasn't set on D yet.

I think the Spurs will come out on a tear in game 3. Have to give the Thunder credit, I didn't think they could win one in San Antonio.

You know damn well Serge Ibaka is one happy dude right about now too.
That 3 pt foul on Aldridge was inexcusable.

Yeah, terrible. Aldridge was 0-16 during the regular season on 3 pt. attempts. You can't get suckered into a foul there.

You see players that close all the time.

Why was the Spurs wanted to hit a three and they were down 1??? Manu should just made a floater or euro step instead of passing the ball to Mills!

But then Thunder could've set up a defense. I thought the Spurs had a perfect opportunity there on that turnover. Maybe I'm just not seeing things clearly enough, but I thought Mills had enough room to take it in for a score when he first got the ball.
