I don't care if it was a flop, he still made contact. You can not swing your arms to gain space from out of bounds. You guys can bitch about Webber bitching like a fan, but he was 100% correct.

Ginobli was way too close. Spurs fans would have a bigger gripe about a 5 second violation than a foul there. Easily could have called a foul on Manu there as well

I thought Patty Mills should've gone for the layup as soon as he got the ball. Afraid of Adams coming from behind to block him, I guess, but I thought he had enough space to get a layup there.

I mean, it was a dumb thing for waiters to do in that situation... but I agree with the non call.

Manu was closer than he is supposed to be and the contact wasnt much, I thought.

Give me a break! Refs miss players stepping out of bounds all the time, but when have we seen a player swing his elbow to clear space, in front of the refs face?

Even if they would've called a foul there, wouldn't it just be Spurs' possession, which they got anyway when the ball got stolen? It wouldn't be free throws, right?

Ginobli was way too close there. That got to be some sort of violation on him (delay of game warning or technical). Both players were in the wrong IMO.

Correct. That's why I don't get why everyone is so bad. If it meant Spurs free throws, I would totally understand.

The commentator answered that question already - said he had never seen that before. As to the suggestion that Ginobili was way to close - I say bullshit - that's what you do in the last minute or seconds of the game. All the guy had to do to inbound it was to back up and thrown the ball high over Manu's hands. There was no need for that

What's the rule? Did Manu break the plane of the sidelines with his arms?

There is no flop rule there.
You cannot reach across the line and touch someone at all.

Neither play is allowed to on offense or defense.
It is a foul unless there was no contact.

if it a grazing touch, it is a foul.
The flopping is irrelevant.

Thank you!

I've seen several times where a player would get as close as Manu got and the ref will tell the player to back off. Just like you guys never seen a player do that on an inbounds play, I never seen a defender allowed to get so close the player inbounding the ball either. The refs totally screwed that up both ways

Too bad it isn't like hockey where the ref could have sent Manu away and had someone else guard the inbounder.
