Call it what you want. I think your Pittsburgh hate clouds your logic on this one, though.

When I was living in the city during the 08-09 playoffs, I would just wear the road jersey to the two playoff games I made it to.

Always a possibility.

Sorry boys, but I told Boss that I would root for the Sabres out of East until they win a Cup or the Bills win the Super Bowl....

IT'S MILLER TIME!

odd scheduling note..

this is the only series that plays every other night for the duration.. ana/nash and la/sj get one 2-day break, everyone else gets two 2-day breaks

Distances if you think it's travel related:

DC/NY = 225 miles
LA/SJ = 306 miles
Bos/MTL = 313 miles
Buff/Phil = 377 miles
Pitt/TB = 1,027 miles
Pho/Det = 1,994 miles
Ana/Nash = 1,997 miles
Van/Chi = 2,198 miles

*all distances courtesy of google maps

And the Eagles and Flyers are?

Fuck the Eagles, But we were just in the Finals last year, very good chance we could be there again, good chance the Sabres could be there also, but come on man, lets be realistic, the Bills window of opportunity passed them by 4 years in a row.. :sorry:

Ryan Miller 2010-11 season: 2.59 GAA, .916 sv%
Sergei Bobrovsky 2010-11 season: 2.59 GAA, .915 sv%

Miller is one of the most overrated players in the game.

Sergei Bobrovsky's #'s if he played on the Sabres 2010-11 season: 3.27 GAA, .902 SV%.

FACT!!!!

Take a look at the Defense the Sabres have and how many shots Miller faces all year compared to how many times he has to stop odd man rushes and breakaways.

Overrated my ass.

A bit more to it than that I'm afraid. Sabres have been the hottest team to close the season, and they earned the 2nd most points in the League since Jan 1st behind the Canucks. The Flyers struggled towards the end, and look vulnerable.

When the Sabres click on all cylinders, they can beat any team in the League, and they also showed they can do it without Miller if they have to.

I'm not saying the Sabres are going to win this series, but people love to see an upset, and most people hate the Flyers.

Miller's career numbers are mediocre at best save for his 2009-10 season. One great season at age 29 does not show the actual skill of a goalie when he has 5 other average seasons to his name.

Miller faced, on average, 30.7 shots per 60 minutes this season. Bobrovsky faced, on average, 30.3 shots per 60 minutes. That seems like the defenses are pretty similarly porous to me.

Yet you would probably jizz your pants if the Flyers announced next season that they traded for Miller.

Just look at Hasek, a great goalie who couldn't win a Cup in Buffalo, but wins the Cup the first year he's with Detroit.

Hockey is a team effort, and on most nights, the team lets Miller down.

I would take Miller before any 3 of the goalies the Flyers have, and I'm sure that would be the same for anybody.
