Our best strategy in net may be to start Bob and then regardless of the score at the first intermission, start Bouch for the final two periods. He seems to enjoy closing out a game in relief.

Just for the people that think the Sabres are fortuante to have any wins in this series because of poor goaltending by the Flyers, remember that 2 of the Sabres 3 wins have been 1-0 shutouts.

Agreed, but take Miller off your team and how many wins do you have? Besides we've given up 3 goal leads to start 3 of these games. No excuses but bad goaltending doesn't help..

In that case I would say that the poor play by the Sabres defense, and the inability to score goals, especially in the 2nd and 3rd period, outweighs the problems that the Flyers are having with their goalies.

The Flyers only weakness happens to be the ONLY thing that the Sabres actually have an edge on in this series.

Actually the Sabres have only had a 3 goal lead once in this series so far. The last game the Sabres were only up by 2 goals before the Flyers scored their first goal of the game.

The Flyers have repeatedly shown the ability to battle back despite a poor start from their goalie. I think games five and six were telling. The Flyers directed 160+ pucks at Miller, 88 of them on net and 8 of them hit the back of the net in just those two games. The Sabres scored 8 goals in those two games as well, but they came in far fewer shots attempts, chances and with less overall effort/pressure frankly. Game six was the first game in which Miller stood on his head and the Flyers still prevailed. I like to think that the days of Miller posting a 1-0 shutout are long over with. That is an aberration and we're seeing the offense of the Flyers start to dominate now when it matters. Meanwhile, the Philly goalies continue to let in softies. It's pretty demoralizing to be down 2-0 or 3-0 simply because of your goalie and then have to actually work to score 3 or 4 on Miller. And they're getting it done. I think it's pretty impressive. I feel like Boucher can be steady in game seven and moving forward however.

Even if he's not, I think the Flyers have proven that no deficit is too great to overcome. May the best team win tonight. :)

I'm worried for your boys (and my Stanley Cup pick), IPW.

What if JVR gets SEVEN shots on goal tonight? 1st Star Times Infinity?

Only seven? He had TEN in the last game...

Oh, dear! 10 shots? That's worth at least 1.4 one-to-nothing shutouts by 1st Star of the Game standards.

It's too bad he did that in Buffalo and not Philadelphia; the Flyers' media would've knighted the man.
