I think the game is tomorrow night. But I heard Gentry say he was not going to change the style of play for his team.

You're right, I totally thought today was Tuesday for some reason. Wishful thinking I suppose.

Gentry said he's not going to change the style, but doing and saying are two different things. I don't think there's a world in which the Pelicans can out Warriors, the Warriors. The Rockets can do so at times because they have elite wing athletes to help negate a lot of what the Warriors do. The Pelicans don't have that. With Rondo and AD in the half court they should be trying to control pace.

Also, no Zaza yesterday either and very limited minutes for Javale. Looks like Kerr disagrees with your going big strategy against AD (as I had indicated the Warriors would like do as well).

The next game is Tuesday and the 3rd game is next Friday, maybe just maybe Kerr will rest Curry Tuesday and then play him next Friday in N.O.
Yea once they won game 1 I figured we weren't going to see Steph until game 3 or so.

By the time I started watching the game, it was mid third quarter and the Dubs were dominating. Saw about 2 minutes of Davis' play before he went to the bench for the day. Who was the main defender on him? I noticed that Bell got some minutes. I think that's the first time I saw him all post season.
I heard Thompson and Green say that if the Pelicans continue to play this way its "playing right into our hands."

Draymond was the primary defender until Looney was in the game. Once Looney was in, he was primary defender and Draymond was secondary. He actually guarded Rondo a few times too and they played him off as secondary help when Looney was in the game. Looney had a fantastic game defending AD. The box score won't show it, but he made him as uncomfortable as you can make a player of his caliber.

Bell only got in during the blow out minutes. Same with Javale. I think Javale may have gotten something like 30 second in the 2nd quarter, but other than that all his minutes came in mop up duty.

Klay and Draymond are right though. Pelicans opted to play a fast pace brand and you cannot, IMO, successfully do that against the Warriors or Rockets. No teams have the horses nor the flexibility of the roster to do that for 48 minutes. The Pelicans were able to hang with the Warriors in the 1st quarter and a bit into the 2nd quarter, but the Warriors started to pull away.

That's what I would do and what Kerr may do but Curry said he was ready and wanted to play 20 mins in game 1. He may want to get back in front of the home crowd

Looney has value.

Looney has value.

Funny part during halftime was when Kenny Smith was saying how good of a job Looney was doing and both Shaq and Chuck told Kenny to stop it and that Looney wasn't doing anything, lol. Everyone else knew what Kenny was talking about but both Shaq and Chuck wouldn't acknowledge Looney was playing good.

I think the Pelicans are going to put up a heck of a fight. With no Steph, this is going to be a very difficult series for the Warriors.

Warriors will probably still pull it off but I wouldn't be shocked if this goes 7.

Still feeling that way?

Even if he doesn’t, it is important to get him some minutes. He hasn’t played in about 2 months.
Agreed. They always say there is no substitute for game minutes.

I watched AD body language. After the huge lead and noone being able to score. AD just jacked up shots in a almost disinterested way. I really dont think it had anything to do with Looney. He cant do anything everyone else in the league hasnt already tried.

The fact that your reading comprehension is poor doesn't mean it made no sense.
Dont use stats, you dont know how to use them. Let me show you. The plus minus is not a good indicator in blowouts for starters. Using the plus/minus is directly related to minutes played. Its most especially useful for bench players. Its half of the story, one must watch the game to get the whole picture. Anyways, you dont know how to use stats, you are not qualified. The one with fucked up reading comprehension is you. And, AD scored 21 points and had 10 rebounds in 3 Q's. Hmmm. Again, you are not qualified.

Stephen Curry (knee) will play tonight vs. New Orleans Pelicans | NBA.com

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry will play in tonight's Game 2 against the New Orleans Pelicans (10:30, TNT).

The team announced Curry is set to make his postseason debut after missing nearly six weeks with a sprained MCL in his left knee. He's not expected to be on a minutes restriction.

*FTR: If it were up to me I'd have him coming off the bench tonight and go from there, and I'd also put a minutes cap on him...but that's all on the PTB.

Just watch that halftime clip. Most of the shots you saw AD missing, he was primarily guarded by Looney. Look at the way he makes him work. That's evidence enough to show Looney had an impact.

Just saying he was jacking up shots is a disservice to a player as good as AD. Give credit where credit is due. All you can do against a player that good is make him work, which is what Looney did. If next game Looney does the same exact thing, but AD goes off for 40, it doesn't mean what Looney did wasn't effective. It's the sheer talent of the guy.

God i cant remember the stat but he was like 5/8 at halftime. Maybe i wrote it wrong. I meant he seemed to jack up shots, disinterested, because no one else on his team could score. I think he knows as much as anyone he can not win the game on his own. He wasnt taking good shots. In desperation to score it seemed. Also, they Doubled him on more then a couple occasions in the 2nd half. It was his first game against the warriors in his first time in the second round. Seemed like he took it in a bitter way. But if you just look into the guys eyes when he has the ball, he aint afraid of no one. He takes some chances with that body too. He hit the deck a bunch of times. Im a staunch supporter of Anthony Davis being the best big man in the game, for a few years now.
