If both teams do what they should in the off-season, this might be the first time ever that the Clippers off-season is more interesting than the Lakers.

Yeah. It must have somehow gotten worse between games 2 and 3. If he was going to sit, game 2 makes more sense because they had just stolen HCA.

But, there is another component to this.

The Clippers will be playing game 4 before your Lakers even start game 3.

If his knee is fucking up, had he played yesterday, his next game would have been 36 hrs later.

Clippers play at 12:30 Saturday.

So, instead of him having 1/2 a knee yesterday, a quarter knee tomorrow, they are praying for 75% tomorrow by sitting him.

You can’t count on Kawhi.

The Lakers were moving all of their young'ns to get AD.

Maybe a slight edge to the Clips since they were trying to get PG too.

Problem with kawhi is he won't play if he isn't 98%. It doesn't sound serious so I'll say he's at 85-90% since he played game 2 with it. Kawhi at 85% is better than most of the league

Blow it up. He and George are never healthy together. You can't play another season of this. Blow it up now while you can still sell someone on the idea that these guys can still play and not spend most of their time in street clothes. They do this another season and no one is gonna pay a good price for them.

Honestly, I'm not sure anyone will be all that interested now. The Clippers have addressed their injury issues about as well as they possibly can. They've surrounded them with tough, scrappy players who can win enough to get them to the playoffs (and seem to get some perverse joy out of beating the Lakers) without them so that they can be available for the playoffs...only they're not available for the playoffs.

Agree that another season of this will make the return that they can get worse. I'm just not sure they can get all that much now.
