Choking now means losing to a better team lol.

Low basketball IQ people on this board
there's a difference between losing and getting smoked though.

Even I thought the series would have games that would mostly be competitive. The last 2 games have been embarrassing and over practically in the first half.

At the beginning of the year Herro's value was sky high. He has def taken a hit.

The Heat will have opportunities with Dragic, AI, Ariza, and more coming off the books.

Does this ass-whooping hurt them in free agency? We shall see.

Yeah the last 2 games are not a good look but this isn't a choke job. It is getting your ass kicked

So last year was a fluke. Got it.
i mean. it definitely was.

the bubble was like a 3.5 hour drive from the Miami facility to Orlando. Thats a psychological advantage if you ask me. Dont tell me that it wasnt different for the Blazers coming from across the country- even if guys couldnt leave i really believe there was an advantage to playing the bubble so close to where your team is from.

Not only that- and this isnt Miami's fault- but i think their culture and coaching were advantages in the bubble- keeping guys locked in during that environment.

not only that but Miami's fans suck- last year fans didnt matter in the bubble since there were none.

Exactly. What the Clippers are doing is a choke job.
true.

but i do think Dalls is funky with Doncic.

On a night in and night out basis- Doncic isnt the best player in basketball---- hes not far off - but hes not the best--- maybe/probably not top 5

but i do think on any given night he might be able to be the player in basketball that can take over a game or a series more so than anyone else. That used to be LeBron- but i think at this point Doncic has taken that over. No shame for LeBron- he prob. had the longest stretch in NBA history of being the most dominant guy in the game. Embiid is on that list of guy that can just take over a game or a series too

Agree. I think Lebron can still be the best player in basketball. But only for portions of games. He just can't dominate start to finish anymore and shouldn't be expected to at 36.

I mean Milwaukee added ton of key pieces while Miami roster didnt improve and crucial players took a step back ( Dragic and Herro)
Dragic not surprising, but Herro in year 2? Still could bounce back the other way next year.

Milwaukee just better.

Last year Milwaukee was probably better on paper but didn't have the role players built for the playoffs. Swapping out Bledsoe for Jrue then those role players they brought in made them better along with Miami doing the opposite.

Miami did this to themselves though. So many terrible losses throughout the season. Win 1 of those games and they're in the 4/5.

Losing to the Hawks and Clippers without their top guys led to this then you have the losses to Minnesota and Chicago late in the year when you couldn't afford to lose to any crappy teams.
did Riley play checkers this year?

Saying that I realize with cap room he could go back to chess in a FA destination cirty.

Heat might get the dead cat bounce today and make this a gentleman's sweep.

That can’t be a good feeling

I was sarcastic partially lol. Hard to root for them.

I would prefer to see Milwaukee in the finals. Basically whoever win the Nets/Bucks series is who I would like to see in the finals.

Refs call every little thing on 3 pt shooters.

Just say defenders are not allow to contest 3 pt shots

They got hot and overachieved in the bubble. They have some good pieces, but clearly they failed to live up to expectations this year.

Will be interesting to see what they do this summer.

I know prior to this they were your 2nd favorite team but that was the pre reconstruction squad lol
