I’ve been in both cities quite a bit. Philly does a solid job of directing their garbage to certain areas of the city and keeping others in good shape. NYC? Not so much.

Yeah it’s just me. The rest of the world doesn’t have the same opinion over what’s happened to NYC over the last 40 years. It’s just me. It’s not that 2/3 of New Yorkers would agree with me. This is a me problem.

It's the last 10 years we're having issues with. For the 20 years Rudy and Bloomberg were in charge NYC went from an average of 2000 homicides a year to about 300 or so. As far as safety, NYC is worlds safer than Philly. Philly had more homicides (410) than NY last year (386) with almost 7 million less people. Both cities tend to save their homicides for specific areas of town.
