O's are incredible too

How can I be disappointed if the Yanks miss the olayoffs?

Those 3 teams are just better than most teams in the whole game

And Yeah, Bartolo Colon CY Young, unreal

Rangers stopped scoring runs

O's got Chen back and maybe that makes the difference

two wildcards coming from AL East.......could happen

i'm still waiting for the Sox to stumble........last night could have been a huge loss

and Kuroda? what the hell.......how does he not get a 2-3 year deal after this season.....such easy delivery

it is a huge series, no doubt and will set the tone for the rest of the 2nd half

i am sticking with my rays thoughts tho...a lot of people see them running away...i just dont

Not running away. Sox and O's too good

But they are really good, and built better for the 2nd half until the Sox add some pitching, which I think they do now

Joey Votto is currently the most overrated "great player" in baseball.

Over the last 2 seasons, he has exactly 29 HR's and 100 RBI...that's in 209 games and 912 plate appearances.

The guy is a turd, and he's almost singlehandedly keeping the Reds from being the clear best team in baseball with his lack of power production.

Ludwick is beginning a rehab on Wednesday though, and taking 2 of 3 over the weekend is acceptable, so there is good news.

I hear Nunez was safe in the 11th

Awesome, glad I was sleeping

He was...it was close, so not an absolutely terrible call...but a bad one...he got his hand in and the tag came down right after it...

he has great plate discipline and walks like its nobodies business

outside of that, yes...overrated entirely  (kidding)

his OBP the last few years is nutty:

.414
.424*
.416*
.474*
.435*

* led/leads MLB

As if these guys aren't doing enough to keep the yanks mired in 4th place already:

Travis Hafner's inability to play the field could result in his release from the Yankees, explains Joel Sherman of the New York Post. When/if Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez return to action, they'll need the respite of playing DH more than ever. Hafner could save his job if he picks things up, but he hasn't hit with much power lately

yeah, he's really hurting the Reds with that NL-leading .435 OBP. Also 6th in WAR.

this is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read. The drop in his power numbers is concerning, but he's been among the best at getting on base over the last 5 years or so and he's a good defender.
