No joke. Though my favorite story about Harold is that when he won the AL SB title in 87 (I think) Ricky Henderson called him and yelled "60!? Ricky steals 60 by the All Star break" and then hung up.

Reynolds is underrated as a second baseman, both offensively and defensively.

I'm not sure he was underrated, he won three gold gloves and was a decent hitter but for all the stolen bases he did get caught a lot...

In what world is Harold Reynolds an underrated hitter? He was below league average his enitre career. Not to mention he is hideous as a broadcaster.

I actually like Harold, i'd rather listen to him phuck Rosie O'Donnell in the booth than listen to a single word from Joe Buck's mouth...

Maybe he sounds better to you after listening to McCarver all those years. Also Reynolds' career slugging % is dangerously close to be being below his OBP. And his career .OBP is only .327 lol.

That's kind've what I mean. He played at a time when there wasn't many second basemen who hit league average, but everyone throws his numbers in a blender with the entire league not just second basemen. Reynolds had a 4 year stretch where he had at least 220 times reaching base (hits + walks + HBP). In the end, he's my replacement for Frank White getting taken.

1) It's about peak value, not career. 2) I agree that i didn't pick him for his power. I believe his career high in HR is 5. I wanted his glove and his speed, though not great, was a bonus. He'll hit 8th in my lineup.
