People only remember the end of his career for some reason...
I think that's how it goes for a lot of players. Straw especially. People remember his drug problems and him bumping around. He was incredible in his 20's.
Nice pick with Mickey. My friends and I always tried to imitate that stance and swing.
Strawberry was still a monster later in his career. Loved him on the 98 Yankees. Still happy i got David Justice who has similar career numbers
Was really surprised he made it that long.
The Strawberry, Gary Carter, Doc Gooden Mets were one of my favorite baseball teams ever, along with the Henderson, Canseso, McGuire A's. They were fun to watch
I hated that A's team! I was always a huge fan of Strawberry though, didn't he play for the St. Paul Saints for a bit to help him get back into the game? I might be way off but I swear he did...
