Not sure, have no idea how old you are. Myself I'm closer to 50 now than 30, according to my kids that makes me old. By the way, what is the cut-off age these days for being "old" these days?:noidea:

I bet 500 on Steelers covering the 5.5pt spread.

I am 37. Look 32 years old, feel 62 years old, IQ 2 years old.

I hope we can have some fun with this one, I find with the baseball drafts we do people bring out the nerd stats to try and prove who's best, I feel this takes away from the fun of doing these drafts.

We will again get to list THREE stats when we post our teams and it would be cool if they were things like OBP, HR's and Stolen Bases or Wins ERA and Strikeouts... NOT WAR, RAA or Adjusted OPS.

Just my 2 cents...

Man, that sucks, just trying to keep my long winded responses to a minnimum, huh? :)

And back to no Vcash. Even worse the steelers won. I needed to steelers to cover the 5.5pts = nope only 3. If they couldn't cover the points I wanted them to lose so Titans would have a better record so my Redskins could get a better draft pick = nope. I am not a happy gambler today. Plus it's rainy and cold old out and my knee is killing me.

Let me know if you do an NBA or NFL one in December, Ritz or Nos (don't want to leave him out, LOL).

I'll be on coast-mode at work with the end of the year approaching. He he he.

Just had knee surgery 2 months ago. Might need the full replacement.

Why would you want the Skins to have a high draft pick? They will blow it somehow... How do you lose by 20 to the Bucs?

So we shouldn't use the best stats available?:suds:

Call me a nerd all you want but advanced stats are fun for me. Everybody enjoys the game differently though.

I'm not sure they are the best stats available. I don't need to know what Rod Carew's Adjusted OPS was to know he was a great hitter...

I don't need to know what Steve Carlton's WAA was to know he was one of the best pitchers of his generation and is probably in the top 5 left handed starters of all time.

You don't need to know. If you're using the eye test you can say you don't need the regular stats either. There's really not a question if you study it that wOBA is better than batting average or FIP > ERA and so on and so forth.

Eh, OBP and OPS are good enough for me. I'm not making money on it... See ball hit ball the end...
