Last thing on Emmitt... John Madden left the booth one time in his career to congratulate an opponent after a game.....after Emmitt played the 2nd Half and overtime against the Giants with a broken collarbone in the season finale. Lose that game, miss the playoffs. They won it and went on to win the Super Bowl. Says it all

Instead of names out of hat or where people drafted. How about we seed teams by how these finished in the rankings. 1 (most PTS) plays 8 ( last in PTS), 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6 and 4 vs 5. Nos doesn't post the rankings. I don't want people voting knowing that Team A received the fewest points because that can influence the decisions. Only Nos knows the rankings. Until the draft is over. Thoughts?

Maybe my math is off but how you get 140pts I count 130.

Running a 3-4 defense
3 lineman = 30pts
4 LB = 40pts
2 CB = 30pts
2 FS/SS = 30pts

11 players = 130pts

Where did I go wrong?
Missing the third CB but don't see PTS for that.

Yeah, I hear ya on that. It's whatever for me, I guess the random could lead to unfair matchups in later rounds. But IMO all these teams are pretty damn good so it doesn't matter to me either way.

I was at working and taking breaks off and on and it took me like 2 hours or so. Long breaks. I am an accounting major the math wasn't too hard just so many numbers and figuring out the ratings. It will take at least an hour if he goes quick.

Thought I finished WLK's until I realized didn't do defense no wonder is score was so low.

The issue with these rankings I have found, is that every team was constructed differently. There were teams like mine that concentrated on their lines (my first 7 picks were O or D linemen) with the hopes of dominating the line and let the skill positions fall where they may, others went the opposite route. Some made a 3-4 other 4-3. Then there's the run heavy offenses against the pass heavy offenses. These rankings favor one style of team over another - 1 top tier WR gets you as many points as 2 top tier RBs. Having a top tier DBfield is more important (60 points for 4 starters) than a dominate Dline (40 points for 4 starters). In the end, I couldn't think of any way to do this that wouldn't have had the same effect one way or the other (hell the original idea I suggested favored the lines).

True that, I was using him as an example of why Emmitt was a team first player. Not saying Barry wasn't awesome. In fact, if he had been on the 90's Cowboys, I think 2500 would have been in play. You don't have to dance when there's a gaping hole

Sorry, didn't mean to bail on the convo but stole an hour nap...

My arguement wasn't Emmitt was the Goat, he's not... But as of the 1990 season nobody had more success... You can't toss that out because of preference of running style... How many Olinemen that blocked for him are HOF...? Saying he is overrated when he is number 1 in all areas that matter is like saying Wilt is overrated because he was always near the basket... Other people had great olines since 1990 and nobody has come close to him...
