I like the optimism... should certainly be one of the best teams in baseball again, don't agree with you about being better than the cubs lineup...

I bet you don't even lead the division in runs.

Idk they didn't have their best player in Brantley last year and they replaced Mike "strikeout king" Napoli with the best power hitter in the AL. I might be a bit optimistic but I would take that lineup over the Cubs

Encarnacion will not have the same protection in Cleveland.

Well if the lineup is like it is projected. A healthy Brantley is a top 5 in the AL and then you have Ramirez who is one of the best hitters in the AL as well, especially with runners on and 2 outs. They don't have the same power as Toronto did but that is all they were lacking and they got that player now.

I still can't believe the Indians got Encarnacion.

Santana
Kipnis
Lindor
Encarnacion
Ramirez
*Brantley
Naquin
Chisenhall
Gomes

I don't think there is a better lineup in baseball, not even the Cubs.

This is where it is awesome to be a Rockies fan, I never have to worry about such things. If they ever get more than 2 elite bats then all will be traded for prospects until there is only 1 remaining. Never pitching prospects though. Why bother at Coors.

Cargo is too injury prone, so I doubt he goes and Story is still too new and not 100% that his start to his career will continue. That means you can probably expect Blackmon and Arenado traded at some point this year.

Cubs with Heyward sucking donkey balls?

Or regular?

I think it's a very good lineup you've got. But I think EE takes a big step back in home runs. He's not playing 120 (or whatever it is)games in the AL East anymore. Much tougher places to go deep in the ALC.

Also Zobrist only made the All Star game because of team record, not for anything he did. Lamahieu and Murphy should have had 2B in that game.

Well it is kind of difficult to have a better year than he had lol but it makes sense. I will take 35 homers and 100 RBI's :D

He might have that against the Twins staff alone!

Murphy was as deserving of MVP as Bryant.

That guy is good, but gets more credit than he deserves.

sure, but Lamahieu had higher Batting average, OBP, Slugging%, and fielding percentage. Murphy was better than both at those...except BA he was .001% worse

Sorry I didn't even know who Lamhieu was, I never saw the Rockies play. I didn't know he lead the majors in BA  Anyway, Zobrist only made the AS team bc well it's the Cubs IMO

Agreed, being on the team with the best record means a lot. That was Lamahieu's second year over .300, so I think he will be a plus bat and plus defender at 2B for a long time. Hard to find that at 2nd, He will make some other team very happy!

LOL 2nd basemen are difficult to find. I'm glad the Indians signed Kipnis to a long-term deal a couple years ago

You also have to factor in the inflated numbers of Coors for LaMahieu, so it is still good, just not as good as it seems at first glance.
