My grandpa died almost exactly a year ago and he was 90. My grandmother who was actually doing pretty good, much better than my grandpa died a couple months later. It's strange how it happens

It happens quite a bit to older folks who have been together for a long time. It's like the surviving spouse dies of loneliness.

Sorry you lost your grandparents!

Or the thought of living without them is to much to deal with...

Speaking of interesting, my dad died about a month ago... I wonder if my step mom will be behind him... that bitch didn't even tell me he died, my wife found out on Facebook... anyway, he was pretty important in Samoa and there was this big write up about him in their paper and some comments on both the website and his adopted daughters Facebook page... it was all how great he was, how generous and how loving a father he was to his "daughter"... this guy saw his actual children maybe 10 times... blasted me when I asked him for a 1000$ loan saying I needed to become a dishwasher lol to learn what hard work was like he did... the damn jobs I've had lol... anyway, I don't know where that came from but if he left a will and I get a huge amount of money, I'm paying for us all to meet in Texas to have a live mock... I know he was pretty well off but I haven't heard anything so don't hold your breath guys... :faint2:

How weird is it Debbie Reynolds died one day after her daughter Carrie Fisher...
Horrible

My Grandpa didn't make it three weeks after my Grandma died. He didn't bother to tell anyone the only reason he was still alive was so she wouldn't bury him.

It's a weird thing to get older and have all 4 grandparents and both parents gone. It's a real empty feeling.

Appreciate it guys but mine was a dysfunctional household... didn't know much about my dad and he didn't seem to mind that so I've lost no sleep over it... I just found it odd she didn't let me know nor answer the phone when I called after I found out... anyway, didn't mean to bring it down in here, I blame Nos for making me think about that shit! Plus my wife turned on singing in the rain... :tsk:

I dont know what I would do honestly

My grandparents on my dads side died before I was born so I obviously never knew them and my dad died when I was 19.

My grandparents on my moms side passed away in 2000 and 2002, I was really close to my grandfather, he was seriously one of the coolest guys you'd ever meet. my grandmother was a wonderful woman she used to bring me golfing with her and her friends when I was in my early teens, I was kicking the shit out of a bunch of 60+ year old women on the course, it was a blast. And as some of you know my mom died a couple years ago, I loved her more than I can find words to say, she was literally the kindest person I have ever known, she would literally do anything to help anyone at anytime even if it meant going without herself. I never understood why she loved my dad so much!

That's the bad thing about having a family to love... my wife's dad and grandfather died the past 5 years and she has said the same thing... but lucky for you uncle milk doesn't mind watching cartoons early in the mornings so you can always call him for a loving word maybe a hug ... :noidea:

You made me think of Happy Gilmore lol... sorry to hear about your mom though on a serious note... even though I wasn't close to my mom, that one still hurt a little so I can only imagine... just reading your post I can see she had a huge impact on you... sounds like a great lady... :yo:
