I look at defense quite a bit if you have great defenders all over the field but throwing 2 players out there who each have 10 gold gloves and everyone else is average or below doesn't make your team a good defensive team. In very close games often times defense decides my vote.

His 162 averages were 15 HR's 76 RBI's not impressive on any level, career .267 hitter with a career OBP of .322

Great with the glove but like Smitty said didn't really strike fear into opposing pitchers.

And that's why he is batting 8th. I will take his defense just like @femurov took Ozzie Smith for his glove. Both huge assets if we need to stop these clutch hitters we are drafting.

It should count, but it really doesn't.

I don't think it was a bad pick or anything like that. Just don't view him as much of an asset to a lineup. His .401 career Slugging kinda takes care of that. (Career high of 23 homers and only once with back to back 20 homer seasons.)Especially coupled with his lack of walks(only once in 23 years did he have more than 56)

Well it appears today is my last day of fantasy football, I fucking lost in both of our money leagues. It was a fun little run, glad I made the playoffs in both leagues but it's over! From now on I will have a few fantasy baseball leagues every year, 2 fantasy hockey leagues and 1 fantasy basketball league, I am done with fantasy football... Congrats to Shane and whoever it was that beat me in the snake draft league...

A friend of mine made me join his league this year... I'm 3rd head into today... down 17 with only 1 player left... need Jonathan Stewart to hit the 17 or I'm out... started Watkins (1pt) and Fitz (3.7), Eifert game .9... Freeman kept me in it, should have started Gabriel with Julio out... I have both and sat him... let's go Stewart...
