Ross is too small, and it may be in our best interest to trade back if Williams or Davis are not there.

While I agree that Williams and Davis should be the top 2, I disagree that Ross is too small. 5'11" and a well muscled 190. That's taller and heavier than Antonio Brown, TY Hilton and Brandin Cooks ... all 1100+ yard receivers. If you have speed/skills ... you can overcome lack of "ideal" size.

Yup. Separation is the only the thing that matters.

Watch Ross break the ankles of USC's Adoree Jackson who will be either a 1st or 2nd round pick. Ross' speed and quickness off the LOS are unmatched by anyone in this draft.

Finally got to watch me some John Ross. The guy is unbelievable! He's got good hands, runs nice routes, and gets tremendous separation. It's insanely ridiculous how much separation he can get. He literally has to wait for the ball half the time LOL!

I feel bad for anyone that takes Jackson in the 1st 2 rounds personally, he's just an athlete still, too raw to go that high IMO.

I meant to add Ryan Switzer, UNC, as a guy we can get in the mid-rounds. He reminds me a little bit of Beasley, who drives us nuts. We can use that type , don't you think?

Love Switzer if there in Rd 4 and on ... I wrote about him in good deal in the college/draft thread around mid season.

Apparently this guy is turning some heads at the Senior Bowl practices ... I know nothing about him; any of my up north friends know anything about him?

A Steelers friend of mine says that there are rumblings that Pitt is willing to trade Antonio Brown to the Eagles. Would you give u #15 to get him? i wouldn't do it. I want young guys to groom and grow with Wentz. Brown showed his immaturity, and Tomlin is not happy about it. I know its a rumor, but it is out there.

I was going to ask the same thing, but you beat me to it. Didn't even hear about him until yesterday, and apparently he's one of the first guys the Eagles' officially interviewed at the Senior Bowl practices earlier this week.

I don't know - giving up a first AND a massive contract might be a bit too rich for me. It would be such a Howie Roseman move if he were to pull it off though, and I must admit I would be really excited to see someone like him in an Eagles uniform.

If they are willing to take our 2nd rounder instead, I'm all for it.

If that Antonio Brown rumor was true, it would be a done deal. I doubt they would trade one of the best Wrs in the game over what he did. And yes, I would do it in a heartbeat.

There's also rumblings that Big Ben is considering retirement - might add more gas to those trade rumor flames.

(Assuming there's smoke to any of it) It's not such a slam dunk for me ... he'll be 29 for the 2017 season and would take up a huge chunk of the salary cap (even cutting Barwin/McKelvin we won't have a ton available). There's no guarantee he would be as good in this system as he was in Pittsburgh ... he and Big Ben have a special connection. Switching teams doesn't guarantee that connection transfers. If the offer were on the table the Eagles would have to seriously consider it ... but it wouldn't be that black'n'white for me.

Again, I wouldn't, unless there would be another early pick (3rd) coming back to us. So, I doubt it. However, that would give the Steelers 2 first round picks, to get them a QB, and another receiver. They could get a top QB + John Ross? Intriguing!

Call me crazy ... I'd rather take my chances with one of Williams, Davis or Ross in Rd 1 and use the 15 mil or so in cap room to shore up other positions.

You guys are crazy. Wentz would instantly have somewhere to go with the ball on every snap. For the next 3 years we'd have a top 3 WR. His age also lines up with the primes of Cox, Jenkins, Graham and whatever else Peters has to give us. We should be trying to win it all before we have to pay Wentz.
