I was way off. There was 5 west teams ranked ahead of NW in the S&P including 2 in the top 25. Alabama finished first, Georgia second and Clemson third btw. So obviously quality rankings for realz

Yes, the article written last year calling the B1G west the 2nd worst division in P5 was spot on. Northwestern was the West champ. The lowest ranked team in the HISTORY of college football to win a division. Yet you want to argue the B1G west isn’t one of, if not the worst divisions?!?

2019 — what has changed? Nebraska is back, yet lose to Colorado. Northwestern gets smacked by Stanford, who got lambasted by UCF. It is much of the same. It is, what it is.

It hasn't been the worst division since the inception of the division being labeled West, which was 2014. I do think the division was probably overrated this season based on expectations and how they've performed thus far as a division.
