It's that time again. Just got my draft slot. 10th out of 10. I wanted BRees since it's a league favored to Qbs, but I believe with this slot I have to be more careful. Any thoughts what I should go for? Plan to start mocking tonight. Of course I will get the 11th pick also

I love the tenth pick. If it favors QBs like you say, I would try to grab manning, Brees, or Rodgers there. If not, I would take Calvin and/or Graham. If one of them are gone with the top 6 rbs, then I'd take ball from Denver.

I would definitely not pick a quarterback there. 10 team league, you will be very happy with your QB if your the last person to get one.

1 point every 25 yards thrown for, 1 point every 10 yds rushing 6 points TD -2 int or fumble

Its favorable on the TD

Me too. I would wait for sure.

The low end options are going to put up big points also. Definitely more important to be strong at WR and RB, and you will have some excellent options at 10 and 11.

In fact, I think Dez and Murray both make decent values there if you want to root for your Cowboy players.

Just did a mock got Lacy, Dez Antonio Brown, Cobb Richardson, Jennings

I just wanted to get a feel of who was out there at 30. 31. I could have had Brees at 10 or Murray or AJ . Chose Dez because I think you need 1 star for sure- AJ or Dez??

At 30 31- could have taken Matthews- t he WRs just looked too promising there which may change my mind on pick 11 to another top RB like Murray.

50 51- 2 pretty decent backs. I know Williams is in NY, but I like Jennings for some reason.

Once the top RBs are off the boards the points plateau pretty fast. A top-3 RB may be 80 ff pts better than the #10, but the #10 is only about 40 pts better than the #20.

Since there shouldn't be even any top-8 RBs left, you should look for value elsewhere with both picks.

In a system like yours:
• a top-3 WR should be about 50 ff pts better than the #10 WR
• a top-3 TE should be about 60 pts better than the #7 TE
• a top-3 QB should be about 80 ff pts better than the #7 QB

Of course, WR and RB have a ripple effect, because you need to start more than one. But even so I think the value at QB makes up for it.

In any event, getting the last player in a run of players at that same position is bad strategy - unless you have somebody ranked higher than everyone else and they fall to you.

But if a WR, two QBs and a TE are gone before you pick - yes, take a RB or two.

At 10..or 12 in a 12 teamer..I'm always planning on going WR/WR or QB/WR depending on whose available. Obviously if Graham is there, take him, but I doubt he will be. So I'd be expecting some combination of Brees/Rodgers and Dez/Marshall/Green. Peyton's current ADP is 10, although I haven't done a draft yet where he fell past 7 so no idea how the calculator got him at 10, but.. you never know, you might get a gift.

Something to keep in mind though, as others have mentioned..in a ten teamer, that last starting QB taken is still projected to be a top 10 dude..wouldn't hurt to wait a while

Graham went pick 9. So if he falls graham and Rogers/ Brees. That's a pretty nice combo. I would worry about my Rbs then. Let's say I take lacy and Murray there. At 50 51 I wouldn't do this but just to show what could happen Cam/stafford and v Davis.

If Lacy is still there with the 10th pick I want to join your league.
