I see no difference to them being ranked where they are at to the start of the season and where Ohio State was to start the season back in 2012. Ohio State was coming off a 6 win season, yet started the next year at #18. Also, Arkansas was a much better team last year than Ohio State was in 2011.

I'm sure you had no problem with Ohio States ranking.
Not sure what 2012 ohio state has to do with this

but why don't you look at the records of the OSU teams before than and the records of the Ark teams before last year. Notice a difference? :dhd:

The East hasn't been that great lately, Tennessee was actually pretty competitive in the East last year (lost to Missouri by 8, Georgia by 3 and Florida by 1). I still have Georgia winning it, but don't think Tennessee winning would really be that crazy.

Georgia can never quite get it done though. Wouldn't shock me if Mizzou, Tennessee, or Georgia won it this year. I don't think Florida will win, but crazier has happened.

That's fine and I like the Vols but still do see the ranking just yet

They shut out Ole Miss and LSU, both are SEC West teams.

On the east side, they drew Mizzou and Georgia.

They basically played the hardest SEC schedule possible.
Still didn't win the games, I think they are good too but they have to prove it on the field first in my mind instead of just getting handed a top 25 based on losing close games.

You're bitching and moaning about Arkansas being ranked based off of their performance last year, and probably had no problem when a worse OSU team from 2011 was ranked 18th to start the year the following year.

They beat LSU and Ole Miss. They are clearly a team on the rise and in the right direction.

They were a fringe top 25 team last year. And they returned like 16 starters or something like that.

I once got upset about a poll in week one, then i woke up and realized that polls in week one mean jack shit.

I rolled over and went back to sleep.

No, they're the greatest, don't ya know?
B12 also ran, Mizz, goes there and gets into a couple of CCGs.
Bottom feeder TAMU goes into "SEC DEFENSE" country with a fish qb and fish coach and is the runaway best offense in the SEC for two years running...

... but somehow that speaks to how badass the SEC is.

SEC! SEC! SEC!

You forgot to mention the parts where A&M railroaded your conference champion after joining the SEC.

How many titles have they won? Answer, the same amount of titles they won in the Big 12.

Tennessee and Miss State seem like stretches.
And Tennessee has not exactly done anything in the last 5 years to deserve the benefit of the doubt either.

I would have put both BYU and Northwestern in there instead....they had two of the best wins.
But, the others SEC teams are okay I guess.

And likely the TV partners wanted LSU and Oklahoma to have more attractive patsies to beat up next week.
Having the Sooner and Tigers play ranked teams adds some more interest....so why not.

Glossing over facts that disproves one's firm stance.

I agree, but I think people are still unsold on Northwestern sticking to the belief that Stanford is just bad (like I believe). BYU lost one of their biggest weapons at qb, while it shouldn't be held against a team, sometimes it is. Not only are rankings 16-25 pretty irrelevant at this point in the season, they are always pretty irrelevant. It is purely there to sell tickets to games and to get viewers on tv. Neither Tennessee or MSU should be ranked.

Again, bringing up OSU has no bearing on this year. But calling them a worse OSU team is just plain stupid man. Look at thier record in 2010 or 2009. Why? To show the talent on that roster. And the final 2012 record? 12-0

Fuck off with your lack of knowledge domer, it's embarrassing
