I wanted no more temper tantrums and no more 70 point blow outs. Guess we're back at square one.

It has to do more with the upfront then anything. Untill Nebraska can get more depth on the oline and dline and we need to get better on the edges.
And linebackers.

It's going to take more than a new OC. All one has to do is look at what Harbaugh and Peterson did with their teams to see this. Nebraska may not have enough talent to have beaten OSU last night, but we have enough to have competed better than that.

i was going to stay silent, but can't sleep because i got a flight in a few hours.

i agree with everyone pointing at the line play. it just isn't up to snuff yet. obviously the injuries on the o-line, just can't allow so much penetration. there were some plays, that it was like no one blocked, i'm not saying they didn't try but OSU just manhandled them and fought through. on d-line just no pressure with the front 4 and as said here, blitzs aren't creative enough. too soft of coverage on the back end a lot. JT picked them apart with shorter completions. Against Wiscy we relied upon the fact the QB couldn't run and him being off on some passes to stay in the game, in this one we couldn't do that and got shredded.

they really need to look at the tape and figure out offensively how to get some things working. you know all the teams in out last games will attempt to duplicate that gameplan, obviously they don't have the horses OSU did, so hopefully we can take advantage. Defensively i think they'll be alright especially if the offense can get going. just too many 3 and outs last night.

MRI had a bad night..... It is what it is, the guy's seemed like they came out tight tonight and got tighter.

MRI has had a garbage career. Slow as tar in coverage and can't tackle. There always seems to be one guy I'm excited to see graduate

We need better players

Exactly, A few years ago when Miller goes down for Ohio State, they put in Jones and didn't miss abeat. Then when Jones goes down than put in Barrett and didn't miss a beat. Huskers loss Tommy and they but in Barney and, well we knew their was no chance. I just can't get past the lack of depth Huskers have at QB position for two years running and other positions. I bet you OSU's second team would be had to beat, esp with the coaching they have.

Didn't really matter, game was over before Tommy went out, D looked like crap. Couldn't stop anything, OSU punter had night off

I mean. Gotta recruit better.

1 OL who transferred from UNK, 2 walk ons who would not make the walk on roster of anybody else in the B1G and a scholarship senior who hasn't had 2 good legs to play on for his entire career. And this is the best we can do without pulling some shirts way too late in the year

Thanks Bo

Michigan and Washington had a lot of the same problems that Nebraska has, but look at what their coaching staff has accomplished. I realize that Nebraska doesn't have the talent that OSU has, but there's enough talent to have given them a better game than what we saw. I predicted a Nebraska win of 31-27 with my rose colored glasses on, but with them off I thought Nebraska would get beat something like how OSU beat OU if we had a really bad game.

Despite last night's ridiculous debacle, and if TA comes back, I think a 9 or 10 win season, and a decent bowl game will still be had.
