That's the point, bait them? Lol why would they allow that on any level

You recruit the best receivers in cfb and you have 2 OL out to injury. You spread the field and beat UM in the secondary.

You know, like they did against the Vols and how they did right before the first half ended against Michigan, and then remarkably went right back to dumbassery.

Michigan came to play, obviously, but that was a shit gameplan in all aspects for OSU.
I guess....but did you really not see a difference in our pass game against TN than it looked vs. UM when we did try to throw on UM(never mind UM's pass game also couldn't throw downfield)?

You may not be doing this but so many wont simply credit Day and the team for this win and have to go with the "see, should have beaten UM" narrative.

yeah.
I don't give a fuck what anyone says. If OSU played them 10 times in a row, OSU takes 9 of those games. Congrats scUM on getting the winning lottery ticket that day........

Would have much rather seen Bama taking on Penn State today.

Nobody can tell me with an honest face they thought SMU was better than Bama.

Doesn't matter in the end game.

I've always been fine with just 4. Teams need to deserve to win it. The 4th team would have been Notre Dame or Penn State. I would have given the nod to Notre Dame.

But we'll roll with this. The little teams and fans are going to quickly realize they can't beat 3 to 4 teams of this level consecutively. We'll get an upset here or there, but nobody is gonna Cinderella 3 wins in college football.
Might be true but not really how it does or should work. I mean, in 2015 I'm pretty sure OSU was better than MSU (and maybe everyone in the field for that CFP) but couldn't get it done on field against MSU so didn't get the bid (and shouldn't have).

HJow it goes.

Unless your team won, these games were boring.
yes and no. I don't consider the Texas/clem game a blowout. clem was competitive.

and the ND/indiana game was 20-3 going into the 4th quarter wasn't it? ND was just a little better. sorry, but take out that 98 yd run single play and it wasn't a blowout.

Agree and hell, could even make a case was not beneficial to show anything that game. Sure, UM and want to win but despite the "I just want to beat UM" fans the goal is a title.

Not saying this happened but IF they said didn't want to show anything for the CFP.....and of course no need to show Oregon our adjustments before possibly having to see them in a much more important game than the BIG CCG? I could understand that.

I mean, sure, not great games....guess not to be expected when higher seeds also play at home. But guessing wont always be like this and nothing wrong with giving few more teams a shot.
2 of the games from last weekend were really lopsided from an advanced metrics standpoint IIRC. FEI ranking I believe has Ohio State as the #1 team and Notre Dame #3.

It downright sucks. college coaches have a crazy job to do. they not only have to recruit new kids coming out of HS, but recruit kids that are on their team already.
Agree no doubt makes it tougher....but it's also something coaches were always free to do.

I definitely do not think CCG winners should get all the byes.

But you have to admit taking out the 98-yard runs assumes they would not have gone on a drive that ended in a touch down. Only the time left would have been affected if that were the case. ND did dominate the game.

nope. not at all. something they need to fix after this playoff.

sorry, but the big 12 and ACC winners don't necessarily should have higher playoff rankings especially if the #2 or #3 B1G is ranked higher in the AP.

possibly. i admit they looked better.

did ND have their scrubs in at the end of the game? I don't think they did. so those last 2 TDs by indiana were not garbage time.

Don't know about second string, surely a few to avoid injury, but definitely a prevent which allows teams to march down the field but use up time.
And the onside recovery was the main factor not Indiana finding its offense in the last 2 minuets.
