Yes I was thinking the same if it's a good player it's probably best to sign the big one in a few years so you retain him longer. If they do Provy now for 8 that may be it.What I meant by the Simmonds example is that the Flyers signed him to a long term deal early, expiring at age 30. Unfortunately now, given that there will likely be one or more teams willing to throw something like 7 x 7 at him, the Flyers may be forced to either match knowing the last few years of that contract will be a bust, or let him walk. By going 3 now and then 8 later even though the total cash outlay would likely be a bit higher, Provy would be under contract until age 33 and, if some team wants to throw a ridiculous term at him at that point, it would be a lot easier to wave goodbye than at age 30.
I just hope the team has a good start to the season as this group is well known to start off very slow besides last season.Certainly a good start to the season.
LETS GO FLYERS!!!!28 days to the prospect game. Getting there.
If it works i'm all for it!! We need a cup!I think we'll def make it to the 10000 mark by mid season lol.
A new trend perhaps?I just hope the team has a good start to the season as this group is well known to start off very slow besides last season.
I hope so i enjoyed last seasons start until the dreaded 10 game losing streak.A new trend perhaps?

Cant go wrong with Timmy Kerr on the mountain.I would go Clarke, Parent, Lindros but instead of Hextall I would swap in Kerr
I love Hextall but I would limit it to one goalie and Parent takes that
I love Giroux, Propp, Barber, and MacLeish but Kerr is a favorite player of mine so I could be a bit biased there
