Ryan Johnson is not one of the reasons we have regressed, He has played solid defensive hockey ever since we got him. Of all the reasons the hawks are worse he is not a top them. Though I wish he hadnt run his mouth.

I think what he means is that Ryan would never have even been looked at if not for the cap issues that caused the Hawks to almost miss the playoffs.

fwiw, i liked Ryan Johnson a lot when he was in Vancouver.
an absolute warrior. he spent most of time playing here with something or other broken.
