What is the optimal amount of time to stay in Vegas? Been a couple times, the first time we stayed like 4 nights and it may have been the most exhausting vacation both physically and monetary.

I was there once for eight straight days. My liver called an attorney and tried to file for divorce.

Aria.

What I like about Vegas is the food and playing blackjack. I'm going out there for work this time, but there's still plenty of time for play.

Have a good time. You're going @ a good time of the year. The triple digits will soon start to set in.

Was in New Orleans for maybe 3 days, don't really remember, was actually pretty sick during the trip battling a sore throat and fever but still managed to have an awesome time on Bourbon street and enjoyed the food. The hurricanes drink really helped with my flu. O'Briens piano bar is awesome.

Vegas like I said I've been a couple times, much shorter flight than N.O. firs time we stayed 4 days and it was just too much. We aren't big gamblers so we did the hotel walk, saw a show surprisingly didn't drink all that much. But the food ain't cheap like you always hear. Another time we went we stayed a bit off the strip where we needed a shuttle to get to the strip and stayed 3 nights, the best experience was getting drunk at the pool all day, and saw a show.

I think given our distance to Vegas, for West coasters 2-3 nights is best. It's expensive though, maybe it's because I don't know how to do Vegas right, but the food is expensive and everything seems to be expensive down there, but people always say how cheap vegas is. Vegas is cheap in a sense for their Hotels and flights, seriously, I can do Vegas in 2 days cheaper then going to Seattle for 2 days, or hell just getting a nice hotel in Portland.

But once you are in Vegas, it's expensive. I guess their tactic is to just get you there on the cheap and spend while you're there.

LOL.

Stayed at Aria, awesome luxury hotel. The rooms automatically adjust to your preference once you open the door.

You try the sky suites there? If you can afford the splurge, it's worth it man. So sick.

No, not even close. I think it may have just been a normal "suite" but they probably call all their standard rooms suites.

Super super nice hotel, we went though when it just opened so I don't know if it has a pool now or not. I can however still smell the hotel scent, so distinct.

Yeah, it's a nice place, for sure. I've stayed there a few times.

Last year, they overbooked, so they upgraded me to a sky suite. Holy shit. Over 1,000 SqFt. My room had a foyer with it's own guest bathroom.

I love NO for the food and the jazz, but I can only take a few days at a time.

New Orleans is the East coast version of Vegas. I was there in January and got there on a Sunday. By Tuesday morning I hated my life.

What mind boggled me was the Motel 6 on the strip behind that souvenir shop............I remember thinking, oh that's how you stay on the strip for cheap! Thought maybe next trip down staying at the motel 6, rates are higher than some of the prestigious hotels!!

It depends why you're going out there. If you're there just to gamble (like most) Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays are the best days. Also the loosest machines in any casino are the ones right as you enter. I used to work @ the MGM Grand. But I think Freemont Street is much nicer than The Strip.

It's a similar situation to when the Lakers had him and Kobe. Pick who think you can at least slow down and work on that because you aren't stopping both.
You can live with Lebron scoring 30+ and you can live with Love scoring 30+, you can't live with both of them scoring like that.
It's like Dan Patrick said this morning on his show...if Kyle Korver, or JR Smith or someone comes up with a big game and beats you...you just say congrats and move on because you know that's not likely to continue for the whole series.
But you can't let Lebron beat you.

But the Pacers did well by mainly staying at home on the other players -- and playing Lebron one-on-one.

We aren't big gamblers, but enjoy drinking and lounging in the sun by the pool.

Could you find something like that in Oregon? Sure in the Summer, but we also like the little getaway and a little bit of the nightlife, of just being out drinking and walking the strip. And like I said 2 nights in Vegas is cheaper than 2 nights in Seattle and cheaper than resort places in Oregon. So we figure go there to getaway and enjoy some fun.

Well there's plenty of alcohol & pools in Vegas. You have a favorite spot on The Strip? My favorite places were Mandalay Bay (because of the House of Blues) & Imperial Palace. The classic car collect was on the 5th floor before it was moved.

Maybe I did it wrong, but people told us drinks were free in Vegas when you gambled in casinos, they made it sound like you could get a decent amount of drinks too. Well I sat a machine for quiet awhile, tipped the waitress decently and only got 1 drink in my time. Sort of lingered around hoping another waitress would come around but they never did.

But tough to beat walking around enjoying the sites while being able to just drink a fifth openly if you want to.

Casey gotta go. Plain and simple. There was no strategic game plan altering or adapting while Lebron was going off. He's taken them as far as they can go. They should go after coach Bud asap.

I thought Casey's move of keeping Miles on Love was the dumbest. No one could have stopped Lebron's fadeaways. (unless they just fouled him)

Lue deserves credit -- he adjusted much better than Casey in Game 2. Lue said he was going to stick with the Love vs. JV matchup .. that JV would get his overpowering Love ... but overall Love's outside shooting & movement would be better. This worked in Game 2.

I enjoy walking around the venetian, walking around the forum shops, and New York New York.

I want to check out old Vegas.

But the food ain't cheap like you always hear.

Yeah, that's the old story when the gambling was the big money maker for them. Now it's food and shows, so the shit ain't cheap.

But there are so many world class restaurants there, it's ridiculous.

If I'm out there with mrs redfoot, we usually take one day and just go around to casinos with our favorite restaurants and and just get an appetizer, or share a meal, but hit a bunch of places and do some gambling in between.
