I don't think its that serious (could be wrong though). Usually they're able to know if it is an ACL/MCL the same day and just do the MRI to confirm diagnosis. I think if it was a torn ACL/MCL we would have heard that by now

I like the optimism but at this point you are one of the few with that take, including Kerr.

Unfortunately the injuries to the foot/ankle and knee are on the same leg. Just doesn't seem its going to happen for the Dubs this year. Its a shame because its almost certain the team breaks up this year. Can't afford Barnes or both Ezili and Bogut. Iggy and the Blur are getting up there. Like to see them get it this year.

I agree. I just think it's ridiculous for the NBA to fine players and coaches for bitching about the refs and then post a list containing the very things they were bitching about and then some.

Essentially, the NBA is saying, "everything you said was true and correct...but we're going to fine you anyway because you complained publicly. Even though we're making the list of things were right about public and we are acknowledging that we agree with you."

On the other hand, there has to be some sort of accountability for these refs. They make the most arbitrary calls and then let some egregious things go.

Agree with bks, probably not too serious and if they can end the series in the next game, they can work it for him to get some decent rest to heal the knee.

If it turns out to be serious, it's because Montalban jinxed him. :heh:

Yeah I think everyone should stop trying to play MD and wait til the MRI results come out tomorrow. The way Dubs fans are talking you would think he just torn his ACL. For all we know, the MRI results could say Knee Sprain that will force him to miss two weeks

I agree that there needs to be accountability for the refs. They can always fine them, suspend them and/or eventually fire them. They can do all of that without the list.

I just think that if they are going to publish the list, they shouldn't fine the players and coaches for complaining.

It is highly unlikely to be ACL. Could very easily be MCL and 4-6 weeks or longer.

I don't want Curry to play the rest of the playoffs, but I don't want Houston to win another game.

Decisions, decisions...

Just thought I would mention that Steph was not on crutches after the game. Have to think if it was really serious that he would at least be on crutches

Yeah, I'm thinking its a sprain just going off watching people in the past. Usually teams with good trainers can diagnose tears in the locker room and the MRI confirms. The fact that they sent him back out there makes me think nothing was torn best they could tell.

Either way, we should all hope for the best. Whether you are rooting to see history or not, it shouldn't end with an injury like this

Does not mean much actually.

Players are often able to walk just fine after knee ligament injuries. ACL and MCL are on either side of the knee. Straight forward movement is usually OK. They are unable to change directions.

Again, I love the optimism and I hope you are right. Problem is I have seen many players walk off the field/court under their own power only to find out they have a season ending injury.
