A late pull away win in a back and forth game over a legitimate final four contender who's more experienced than we are, when we had to adjust on the fly to our best player being out, only Grayson Allen had his shot going, and we were playing a non-base defense to adjust to our opponent's strengths?

I'll take it.

I would have called a Flagrant 1 on Carter Jr on that play. Though I don't really understand the difference in consequences between a Flagrant 1 and what was called.

There was a stretch just about halfway through the second half when the refs were calling the game much tighter than they had been before or they did after. On both teams, but I hated to see that - there was a whistle on nearly every possession during that stretch. The non-flagrant on Carter Jr. seemed to end that stretch, and the game was much better down the stretch letting the players have a bit of leeway to play.

Allen just took that game over and carried Duke on his back. Our freshmen did well, Especially Duval in transition, but none of them had their shot dialed in. just Allen

Assuming Bagley's eye injury isn't too serious, Duke's gonna be JUST fine this year.

Also, great game to MSU. Here's to a rematch in San Antonio in April. I don't see it happening any earlier than that. Both of these two teams are legitimate final four quality.

One very interesting and unusual stat I just read about this game.

Duke had more offensive rebounds (25) than defensive rebounds (21)

Just got back. Awesome night of hoops. A lot of salty fans upset with Izzo in the crowd tonight. I kind of agree. The amount of subing he did tonight made it impossible to get in any flow. Every whistle the entire game ended with atleast 1 and most of the time 2 guys coming in off the bench.

Although I don't expect Allen to average 30 a game but Duke looked good last night against an "older" Mich St team.
