Even as a Bulls fan, I feel bad for Thomas. He put together a hell of a game, especially given the weight that must have been on his heart. Even while I am happy the Bulls won, I feel like he deserved this game.

The Bulls have the best player in the series, a historically great playoff performer and the most playoff experience overall. Hardly a poor 8th seed. They showed up versus top competition all season. Their problem was taking naps versus poor teams like NY, BKN, ORL... etc...

He may have, no doubt.

However, the Celtics got out played on the glass, out hustled and out defended. The Bulls also hit their open looks down the stretch. The right team won.

And how much of the core would have to go? Cause even adding Butler to the roster as-is doesn't make the Celtics better than Cleveland, let alone GS. Adding Jimmy and losing any combination of Crowder, Smart, Bradley, Brown as well as the Nets pick is pointless. That's why they held off I'm sure.

Butler would give them a damn good shot man. Maybe they don't overcome LBJ, but they'd certainly have a shot.

Cant deny the truth. Boston has no big who plays like a big. We have stretch 4s and thats it. I am not down on the series but the hole in this line up has been clear all season. What irks me is that guys like Amir cannot rebound better.

Al Horford might be most overrated good player in the league. I mean I don't think he is overrated bc I never thought he was that good to begin with. That being said, he had a pretty good game last night, he just doesn't make a huge impact. The Celtics are lacking stars, they have Thomas and a bunch of pretty good players, they need someone alongside Thomas.

The C's aren't legit contenders so it really doesn't matter if they lose in this round or the later round. I mean it does to fans and players bc it gives them hope but maybe losing in the first round will be the best thing, to kinda change this roster up some.

They never were legit contenders. Always considered them as a regular season team. 2nd round is the best case scenario for them imo. No way are they beating Washington if they get by the Bulls.

To me, this looked like the difference in the game and if the Celtics don't figure something out, it may be the difference in the series. You have guys on the Bulls like Butler, D-Wade and Rondo who all have extensive playoff experience.

The Celtics? Not so much. Maybe they can suit up Danny Ainge. At least he has extensive playoff experience.
