Hell of a game. Manziel was great other than two very costly mistakes. McCarron was awesome too

Clemson, Louisville, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma state can all go no huddle up tempo.

Sure, but don't think that is what would beat Bama. Other than TAMU and possibly Oregon, can see no other offense capable of moving at will against Bama.

Im not sold on Louisville or Oklahoma

I'm not sold on Oklahoma either. Hopefully we get a better idea after visiting south bend, but that's not necessarily the point.

How many of them can run the tempo that A&M runs, and how many of them have a WR/QB combo like Manziel/Evans?

You have to admit, there was a lot of luck in that game for Manziel, some straight bullshit happened tonight..lol.

I think you'd be surprised how many offenses can give that D a run for their money. They looked very porous.

Maybe I missed it. Was there an SEC Defense that showed up today??

Or do they even exist anymore?

Absolutely, and bama is still a top tier team. I'm just saying they're showing some holes they haven't in the past. They are beatable.

Yeah, against JM.

A lot of otherwise good defenses look that way against him.

Clearly you haven't seen the amazing combo of James Franklin and Dorial Green-Beckham......

Ok, Alabama would beat us by 30 if we played them this year. But there are teams that will be able to exploit Bama in the passing game

They were beatable last year and the year before, too

Definitely, they've been beaten every year almost, be prepared to play flawless if you wanna do it though.

It took like 7 years for Alex Smith to be good. Most QBs aren't getting 4 years these days due to contract changes. Saying someone is Alex Smith Jr is saying they'll bust

Uh yeah, that was my point

Lots of character in McCarron, if he busts in the NFL it wont be due to his work ethic or Character. Not every QB in the college ranks can play at an NFL level, but qualities like McCarron possesses are a positive to NFL teams who want to take a chance on a kid with possible upside. He will be a success no matter what he does, NFL or otherwise.

A win's a win but there were a lot of weird calls and weird plays and at initial thought they weren't too many in Bama's favor! targeting? receiver forced out of bounds? and even a player for A&M who loses his helmet and gets penalty for still participating? Ridiculous! Balls thrown up for grabs? 3 or 4 times, and caught! 95 yard touchdown pass? fumble at A&M's one and technically forward progress. Weird!!! Just glad that one's over. Next! Now the next best thing...go watch Auburn lose! :yahoo:

I could look forward to watching Ole Miss beat t.u. but I'm not part of the 1% of the country that gets LHN

I could se mccarron coming back to bama and bring an outstanding qb coach.

You have a special QB with a special Wide Receiver and many times DB in position but doesn't finish. It's not everyday QB throws 95 yard TD against a converted WR. Cyrus Jones was a WR last year. Thinking they should move him back! Manziel threw at least 4 balls up for grabs that were completed. That accounted for lots of yards. If you look at Bama's offense the holes were gigantic and the receivers were wide open. A&M had to earn their rushing yards and it was just a weird game passing wise. Many time Receivers were fairly well covered. Very few teams can do that. But so many are acting like any team is going to step on that field and do that against Bama. Seriously? It was 42-21 late in 3rd and A&M had been up 14-0 so Bama had outscored a good team 35-7 on their home field. That shows you a team that could be very good by the end! We'll see. I do see lots of folks hoping though!!!
