MLB Daily Thread: 09/11/17:Dodgers losing streak at 10, Judge go deep 2X, & Giants look awful

Brewers swept the Cubs, and Cardinals swept the Pirates. Both teams now just 2 games back of the Cubs.

Going to be very interesting down the stretch for these 3 teams. Cardinals play the Cubs 7 more times plus the Brewers 3 times at the end of the season. 7 straight games against those two teams, at home, to end the season. Brewers play the Cubs 4 more times, at home, next weekend.

Can you imagine how tight the NL Wildcard race would be had those useless Dodgers not get swept by the Rockies?

Best thing about this NL Central race is it will be decided between those 3 teams. They all still play each other several times before the end of the year.

Cubs- 7 vs Cards & 4 vs Brewers
Brewers- 4 vs Cubs & 3 vs the Cards (last series of the year)
Cards- 7 vs Cubs & 3 vs Brewers

Not cool. You know I was avoiding this. Ugh here we go...

Missed opportunities to start, Salah is fast, but not necessarily quick in tight spaces and that hurts against a good club. TAA had his worst game, expected to have one from an 18 year old. Playing with 10-men for that long, against City, is going to hurt. Didn't think Mane deserved a red card, but it is what it is. Poor defense, but even worse midfield play. Coutinho is back this week for the Champions League match against Sevilla, so I think we'll see a different team. They gave Aguero a goal, had to play catch up from there without one of their top 2 scorers.

This team will go as far as their midfield play, as that is the best way to use their speed on the edges. Still, one match, we'll be alright. Go Reds!
