lmao

of course...because it deflates your argument.

bill cut the 94th pick he was in love with a year later. remember how hight they were on him? he couldnt play.

jacoby was the 91st pick, and is the 3rd dog on a 2 dog team.

I just cited the uncertainty of Brady and Garoppolo in 2018. You countered with a 2008 draft pick.

Not sure how that "deflated my argument"

I'm not really making an argument. JB isn't getting cut. He wasn't even on the bubble last night.

Based off the way you were talking about the route running and separation ability of practice squad talent like Austin Carr, just briefly after saying how you didn't watch much of the 4th preseason game?

You're either a Patriots coach or someone who likes playing the role of know-it-all.

Either way. You're entertaining. Carry on.

What news to wake up to after this week which continues to be an emotional rollercoaster.

Astros needed to make something happen in the starting pitching department.

I sure hope Verlander can swim.
I thought the Astros would go after Tanaka this offseason because they certainly have money to spend. And despite Verlander's "down" year, he's still a very valuable piece.

1. He's only under contract for 2 more years, so you aren't paying him into his late 30s. Get him through his age 36 season.

2. He's pitched well lately. 2.31 ERA in his last 11 starts with a 10.22 K/9 and 2.43 BB/9

3. He's a workhorse. He'll get to 200 innings for the 10th time in 11 years.

Houston made a late night move to get JV. They look a little more dangerous now

Maybe to the Yankees.

This is an awesome move for the Indians.

Justin Verlander ERA
Career - 3.49
vs Tribe - 4.71
Last 4 starts vs Tribe - 8.14

It's like the Indians' AL competition is trying to acquire their property.

Chris Sale ERA
Career - 2.97
vs Tribe - 4.78
Last 4 starts vs Tribe - 10.80

It's also worth noting that historically, Verlander has had some struggles in the post season. He's had sixteen postseason starts and absolutely shit the bed in nine of them.

and listen, jacoby could make this team. could. bill does shit like this from time to time. hes carried 2 QB's more often than he has 3. when was the last time before jacoby? when they carried 4 in 2000? (friesz, bishop, brady, bledsoe)

The last time they carried 3?

Cassel and Flutie
Cassel and Testaverde
Cassel and Guiteriez
Cassel and O'Connel

ok. because you said this:

They didn't spent the 91st pick in the 2016 draft to cut a guy who has done everything they've asked him to do. Especially with the uncertainty surrounding Garoppolo and Brady.

Certainly not to keep some scrub tight end who wont even play.

the above statement assumes jacoby WILL play

Most backup QBs don't play.

Anyone want to guess what happened in that twelfth start of his?

I'll give you a hint. It's got something to do with Chief Wahoo's dick.

Well they didn't carry Testaverde through camp, he signed on later. And Gutierrez was cut in 2008 and didn't make the active roster until Brady was hurt.

Well sure, they carried 3 QBs for a reason.

Just like they will this year.
