i like him too...but i dont see "quick" or "fast". solid route runner, great hands...but hard to get separation on real NFL DB's.

i like his upside. some guys have "it" even when they lack the physical tools. i think carrs PS material for now.

wouldnt shock me if he got cut too.

Sox are better at getting hit by pitches than hits with RISP.

It's pretty obvious Sanchez is here to stay. If he didn't miss a month, his first 155 games would probably be bordering on record setting, if you're waiting for him to fall off the cliff, you're gonna be dissapointed

Bird has been called the best hitter in their system for a few years, he was the games best hitter in ST, the only time he hasn't hit in the bigs was when he was playing on a foot that required surgery. Injuries are a legit problem with him, but you can read all you want on Bird from scouts and baseball people and see he is compared constantly with John Olerud, not Pujols

Ok, he's here to stay. Nothing wrong with that.

Calling him a first ballot hall of famer and perhaps the greatest catcher of all time is the kind of thing that a guy with the number of posts that you have should expect will get laughed at.

those are lovely minor league and spring training stats.

As a pro, he's hitting .226. Again. A savvy forum-goer like yourself surely should expect that labeling him better than the next Piazza will elicit some chuckles.

I assumed that you were being tongue in cheek.

Guys like you are great

Sanchez' great small sample means nothing

Birds even shorter sampling means everything

Good stuff

Just so you know. In the alternate universe where David Ortiz didn't retire last year, Ortiz hit a grandslam in the 9th to tie the game last night. Sox lost in extras. but still.

they will keep oshaugnessy over jacoby

jacoby hasnt progressed...granted, the reps havent been there and its been an odd 2 years.

the pats traded for oshaughnessy...they were very high on him at ill state. 3 TE's vs 3 QB's...especially down a target in edelman.

remember how high hey were on kevin occonnell?

He hasn't progressed?

Were you not watching last night?

I don't have any thoughts on oshaugnessy either way. He won't see the field unless someone gets hurt.

But they're not cutting Brissett.

He wasn't even on the bubble before last night. He's not going anywhere.

I don't care either way, but ESPN did have a piece that he could be cut

Huh?

Nunez after the game:"I don't care if he's mad or not," Nunez said. "It's my game. I cannot change my game. We know he has a bad knee, but it's not my problem. I can't change my game. I have to try bunting."

Well someone is lying

i watched some. 4th preseason game. wanna go over prior pats 4th preseason games showings?

kevin occonnell once threw for 400 yards.

the pats traded with KC for oshaughnessy. hes staying.

they dont need to carry 3 QB's this year. they wont. oshaugnessy will be on special teams to start. he reminds me a bit me of a non lethal aaron hernandez. similar skill set and frame.

Well someone is lying

Yeah, and Nunez admitted he said the words "I'm sorry" but followed it with "but I have to do it. That's my game. ... If I have to do it twice, I have to do it. It's my game. It's my job. It's my team. And if I have to bunt four times in a row, I'll do it. I don't care if he's mad or not. You know? That's what it is."

So like I said, sorry not sorry. It's not an apology.

I'm not sure that I said it means nothing.

I said you're a funny guy for putting him in the hall of fame after 155 games.

don't worry. I would do the same thing to a Red Sox fan if they called Benintendi the next Bonds or Devers the next ARod.
